I recently purchased the Westinghouse iGen5000c generator and couldn't be more pleased. The unboxing and setup process was a breeze, allowing me to get the unit up and running in no time. It is an excellent value, costing less than many rival models but with high ratings from reputable sources like Consumer Reports. Though it weighs over 100 pounds, an extendable handle, wheels, and lifting handles on each end make it easy to maneuver. It is very quiet, having a conversation while it is running is no problem and starting it using the push button or remote could not be easier. With a 30A plug and plenty of power for my travel trailer, I can't wait to use it next season for camping and all sorts of other tasks.

Absolutely excellent generator.Very good quality.Built well and durable.Starts Everytime.Runs many hours with very efficient fuel consumption, very economical.Quiet.Can run many appliances and all types of power tools.Very well engineered .Not easy to change oil but worth the time it takes to do it right.Has what you need to get it done but oil changes are time consuming until you get real used to them.Wheels and long telescopic handle for easy transport over terrain.Good strong frame with strong handles to lift.Heavy tho for its size.The LED panel went out after a year.But minor things because this performs well, sincerely well, and is sort of impressive a gen set.

I really like the fact it includes a charger to maintain the small battery. We are off grid and sometimes need a generator and it's great to just hit the switch from inside the house. And they included a funnel that threads into the oil fill port. 10 stars for those 2 features. The previous generator switched off the remote start after 12 hours. Just now running it for the break in period, gonna change the oil then. I did buy a magnetic dipstick that fits right in. It's really quiet, even with the eco mode off.I will update soon.Update: The oil drain plug could be a little easier to get to. The plastic door is just a bit off to the right and my extension with a 10 mm socket didn't want to fit in. Short 1\4 inch ratchet and short socket works but it's tight. Barely had any metal crud on the magnetic dipstick after the break in period. (I ran it 6 hrs with varying loads)

Great product with plenty of power. Easy to start and with a good User Manual.

Bought this inverter for backup when power goes out. Large enough to power refrigerators/freezer but also portable and quiet. Easy to set up and use.

I have been wanting a stand by generator for my RV for a while but the typical maximum wattage offered at the $1,000 price point (3700 max) was a little underpowered for my rig. This Westinghouse unit is rated at 4500 watts max with a typical load of 3700 and can easily run my entire rig, including AC, and have some power left over for lights and a small fridge outside. This popped up on a deal for $690 and at that price its a bargain my opinion! I would consider it a good buy right up to $1,000 based on the competition in this range. It arrived quickly without damage and was very well packed. There is attention to detail throughout, from execellent documentation, informative placards, included accessories, local support, and most importantly the range of features. You can nit pick a couple of things... its a little louder than I was expecting, probably no different to any other brand but the marketing makes you think it will be whisper quite. You would hear it at night in a campsite as a low drone. As others have mentioned the blue plastic shell is a little thin. Its easily scratched and I dropped some gasoline on it which caused it to discolor a little, none of which impacts the fact that it starts wells, runs well and does everything its supposed to. The overall attentinon to detail from Westinghouse gives the feel of a product from a major brand name but at the price of a cheap import. Outstanding value!

I have owned other generators that worked fine for their intended use. They did not have remote start and one was extremely loud. I have purchased a larger fifth wheel RV & needed a inverter generator that has sufficient wattage to run the air conditioner and other electrical appliances. Two of my friends have the Westinghouse iGen 5000C inverter generators, which are quiet and able to supply the required wattage to run everything in their trailers. These features plus the remote start, the reliability of these inverter generators and Westinghouse quality convinced me to make this purchase with confidence that I made the correct choice.
