ALOHA Organic Plant-Based Protein Bars | Chocolate Fudge Brownie | Vegan, Gluten-Free, Paleo, Low-Carb, Non-GMO, Soy-Free, 12 Count

I have searched (and consumed, ugh) high and low, near and far, for a protein bar that is beneficial, works, tastes good (I really mean taste good, and is more than a fancy candy bar. I thought long and hard about trying another "The Best Bar", "The Only Bar", "The One", and I could go on and on, but I know you know the drill. So, I read the package. Pretty impressive, so I bite, literally (prior to a training ride). Outstanding! Taste good. No stomach issues (yes my stomach is very sensitive and it will let me know when I have consumed the wrong food source and sources). It worked. Fifty mile training ride (competitive cyclist) with no problems. It was filing and sustaining. Yes I consumed hydration during the effort, but the bar did it's job. Finally, a protein bar that is just as good to you, as it is for you (supplemental food). Do yourself a favor and just try it. You will be surprised (pleasantly), and pleased (pleasantly).

I've had a few of the flavors from Aloha and really loved them. I got the variety pack to sample a few more. I like the ingredients of these bars and they make a great snack without any chalky protein aftertaste.. Chocolate Fudge Brownie in the purple wrapper is my favorite. I've been buying it for a while. It's got good chocolate flavor without being too sweet. It isn't as moist as some of the other bars and breaks apart into pieces easily. Coconut Chocolate Almond is another one I've been buying and have liked. The batches aren't consistent though. Some have had more chocolate and been moist like an RX bar (without sticking to my teeth), while others have had less chocolate and been crumbly. The coconut and almond flavors also shine through. Moist or crumbly, I've enjoyed both versions. Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough is also a flavor I've had before. I like it. It's got soft, chewy texture like an RX bar with chocolate chips and it tastes like a very moist cookie. Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip is a new flavor for me. It's delicious. It is moist like the others with a nice combination of peanut butter and chocolate flavor. Vanilla Almond Crunch is fine. It's moist, but really lacking in flavor. It's something to eat to fill me up with a healthy snack rather than something I'd eat for the taste. Chocolate Mint was what I was most excited to try. Sadly, it's horrible. I couldn't eat a second bite. The mint is so very strong. I can't taste the chocolate. The bar just tastes medicinal, like I am chewing on a menthol facial astringent. I won't get this variety pack again, because of the last two flavors that I didn't care for. But, I will gladly get 12 packs of the four flavors I do enjoy.

The chocolate fudge brownie bar by Aloha tastes good but not as good as a real fudge brownie. I like it because it is a fast snack with decent nutritional value. I have a number of food allergies and I am OK with this particular bar. However, if you have a severe allergy to nuts, you probably will have to avoid this entire product line due to the possibility of cross-contamination. Note that this bar does tend to drop a little bits of chocolate on your shirt if you are not very careful, and they are hard to remove if they melt.

I tried this flavor of Aloha bars because I like several of their other flavors. I love chocolate, but I don't like the flavor of these. It's a very dull, bland-tasting flavor. It does not taste like fudge at all to me. It doesn't even seem very chocolatey. More importantly, these contain cashew butter. I did not realize that and mistakenly trusted this product because other flavors we've tried do not contain cashew products. My daughter has a life-threatening allergy to cashews and tried one of these bars. Fortunately, she only ate a tiny piece before she started feeling the allergic reaction and stopped eating. It still triggered a pretty bad reaction and it could have been so much worse. If you have a cashew allergy, do not eat this product! I hope the company will re-formulate this flavor of bars so that they will taste better, and that they will eliminate the cashew butter, which causes allergies in 3-6 percent of the population.

This bar is richly chocolate without being sweet making it a wonderful choice. It’s satisfying and doesn’t trigger sugar cravings. I also freeze it and it makes it more of a dessert-like snack. Hands down my first choice in a bar!

Honestly, these are barely edible. They're hard and chalky. The taste is OK. The macros are great, but they've just been sitting in my pantry for months cause I don't want to eat them.

All three flavours are great

These are actually low key delicious, for a plant-based protein bar. I have a heap of dietary restrictions, but found these to be quite palatable and the macros were decent. Would order again
