Galco Fletch High Ride Belt Holster for 1911 4-Inch, 4 1/4-Inch Colt, Kimber, para, Springfield, Smith

This is by far my favorite holster for carrying the Browning Hi Power and Kimber Pro Series 1911 pistols. The holster's fit for both firearms is perfect, the strap allows safe cocked and locked / condition 1 carry. The strap had no issues with deactivating the safety on either pistol as I've read in other reviews. Maybe the shape of the safety lever is different on those 1911s from mine, I don't know, but deactivation won't happen no matter how I try to get it to (tested empty of course). Galco makes incredibly beautiful and functional gear, I am very happy with this holster. I will say that the tan color of this is more true brown and darker than the "orangey tan" of other Galco products. It's not enough to care for my use but someone may. I will be buying it in black color shortly.

good holster thumbreak is a lil long wich is good if u carry half cock but if u carry ur 1911 cocked and locked it has a lil slop and will bump your safty of becuse of that. this holster is vary easy for me to conceals with my vest and goes everywhere with me and holds up vary well. i did move the snap to tighten the thumb break but that is becuse i never have it in a holster half cocked

This holster was top notch. Fit my Kimber pro carry two .45 ACP four inch barrel perfectly. I’ve read reviews where the holster retention strap has a tendency to move pistol external safety to the off position. I’ve so far not experienced this affect. Rides high and tight to the 3:00 position. Will buy one for the Glock 19 gen 5 in the future. Great product.

I am extremely critical of my holsters. I don't skimp or worry about price when purchasing holsters for my weapons. This is an extremely well made beautiful holster. I wooed definitely purchase again if needed too, however, with the quality of the leather and workmanship, it'd be unnecessary to do so. If you purchase this holster, you certainly wont be disappointed!

I wanted to add. According to the manufacturer instructions this holster is not to be used in the "cocked and locked " configuration. I use this holster when on the boat or riding my motorcycle to hold the weapon secure. I wanted to make it clear it is not a design for one in the chamber cocked and locked carry and that is stated in the manufacturer instructions.

I rarely write one star reviews, most products even if terrible deserve at least 2 or three stars unless there is a major issues. I try and save one star reviews for things that are unsafe, are totally useless or otherwise have a major design flaw that hinder the product that makes them a total waste of money. This is one of them.I purchased this for a Springfield 1911, but the same would be true for ANY kind of 1911.The short version is, the movement of your body causes the back strap to release the thumb safety on any 1911 handgun. If you carry ready to go then this can potentially cause a major issue.I wanted a holster that gave my firearm a bit more security from falling out or jostling loose in a situation. This IS NOT the holster you are looking for for a 1911. Maybe for a glock or something that doesn't function the way a 1911 does.

Great holster at a good & worthwhile price. I use it for my Remington 1911 4 1/4" Commander. It's a little tight at first, but we've all come to expect that in a good leather holster. It could ride a little higher, but I would definitely buy it again.
