"I have often said that money problems are not solved with money. Ann-Margaret understands it is not what you make but what you keep that matters. You will read this once and refer to it for years to come." โDr. Phil, from his foreword It is no secret that we are living in an increasingly litigious society. What may come as a surprise, though, is that we are far more likely to be involved in a costly legal dispute with a former loved one than we are with a stranger. In Love and Money , Ann-Margaret Carrozza will help you to easily understand and implement essential legal strategies to prevent you from doing legal battle with someone you once shared Thanksgiving dinner (or a pillow) with. Through an engaging narrative, including amusing cautionary tales, readers will learn how to utilize contracts to identify and avoid costly relationship landmines, reduce pet peeves, and create a joint mission statement, all the while ensuring that one's wealth and values are transmitted to future generations. Love and Money demystifies many legal structures, including: Prenuptial agreements Postnuptial agreements Cohabitation agreements Love contracts Wills Trusts Powers of attorney Healthcare advance directives After learning how to erect legal barriers against external wealth destroyers and evildoers, the focus of the book moves to internal wealth destroyers. Readers will learn how to identify and combat internal wealth repellants such as low self-esteem, fear, and stress. Becoming and remaining wealthy requires more than just money. This book provides a unique education about the interrelated nature of the internal and external laws of wealth and how to put them both to work for stronger relationships with one's finances and loved ones. Review: Love & Money - I enjoyed this book very much. Ann-Margaret made this book an easy read for just about everyone. I think were this book succeeds is in the fact that it makes you realize that making and saving money is not the end of the story. Its about preserving our hard earned wealth for ourselves and our family. In a moment our wealth can be wiped out by a lengthy nursing home stays or a costly divorce. This book makes you think about things that we either did not know about or did not want to know about. Such things like pre and post nuptial agreements, wills, trusts, etc. This book will help us to prepare whatever legal documents that will serve us the best. For these and other reasons I give it a 5 star rating and encourage everyone to get a copy. Ann-Margaret made this book not only informative but a fun read. She tells of experiences that happened that we call can relate to. Review: A pleasure to read, yet very informative and quite comprehensive! - This book was recommended to me by a close friend who knew I was considering certain familial financial moves. He had used the author in her capacity as an attorney for some estate work in his own family, and was very impressed with her expertise and grasp of elder law, which can be quite confusing. Not only did the book have the answers to my financial concerns, but it covered the material very comprehensively. The author helps the reader resolve financial dilemmas through on-point examples and short vignettes based upon situations she's encountered with past clients, and covers an incredible amount of relationship-related issues that, all too often, revolve around money. This book is more than worth the price!

Arrived 9/30/23. In great shape.
Looks like a great book. Presents many complicated ideas.....so I would say "slow reading." If you are interested in family finances, wills, trusts, prenuptial, postnuptial, cohabitation, children/money - you have found a great book! Thanks to the author.

Some useful information but somewhat dated and boring to read
I was hoping this book lived up to the ratings online but I was disappointed. I did not like the casual approach to the subject matter. I found it to be wordy and a bit boring. The information was somewhat dated. It would be helpful for buildng a very basic knowledge but nothing advanced.

Excellent and readable.
Excellent book for a married couple or anyone contemplating marriage. It's clearly written, articulate and an easy read about issues we can be unwilling to face. It was so good that I actually bought a second book to give to a friend in divorce proceedings so that she will be able to avoid potential missteps in a future relationship.
