Pricey but you get what you pay for. My phone attaches securely but detaches easily with one hand when you do want it to come off. This thing has been mounted on my dashboard and left in the hot sun for more than a year now and it still looks and works like new

A great demonstration of the genius of Peak Design’s Slim Link system. Connects very easily, with magnets “sucking” it into place, and very well crafted aluminum teeth holding it securely in place.A really lovely piece of kit.

I liked the idea of strapping this to my backpack and doing time lapse. It does "ok" but not as useful as I hoped. With the main camera facing forward, it's clunky to turn video on an off while the screen is against your body.Much more useful as a way to attach your phone to a tripod. It's extremely secure, but I haven't used it for that yet.

The media could not be loaded. I am a huge peak design fan. I love all of their products and this one is top of the list. I used to use a crappy tripod when filming And then I found the Creator kit from peak design. The base is universal and can clip into a lot of these snap-in bases in your tripod, back pack, bike etc.Note: You need to have the Peak Design phone case for this to work.

The unit works well with PD Slimlink and therefore only work with Peak Design Ecosystem products. And the phone securely and quickly mounts to the Peak Design case. The flaw is with the stabilizer screw that is dead lock. You cannot hand loose it. It seems to me that Peak Design intentionally dead locks the stabilizer on the unit that I received.Pros1. If you buy new iPhone, you must buy a new PD iPhone case. Therefore, this unit is useless when you use other case. So, this is a big cost to Peak Design's Lifetime Guarantee.2. Overprice3. It is hard to mount my iPhone in portrait mode.4. Customer is poor. When I contacted customer care for the deadlocked stabilizer, after several email exchanges, this is what its customer care advised me, and I quote, "You can start by loosening it with a soft pair of pliers or a jar gripper. Then, you should be able to twist it with your fingers easily." This seems they avoid admitting the design flaw or lack of instruction on how to use the stabilizer. Or they want the its customer to do the technical repair for its quality control department.I gave this unit a weighted three stars because I consider its well design, average product lifecycle (life is too short to buy in Peak Design ecosystem), poor customer care, and its pricing point.

Peak never fails. The Mobile Kit is super rugged and the magnets are perfect for centering the clip to the locking clip with zero effort. 11/10.

This is a well-engineered piece of equipment. The combination of magnetic and mechanical latching is ideal

Look at the mounting holes at the base of this phone holder. There is a machined grove across the base. That is exactly where my mount snapped off. Luckily my phone stayed in the boat.The peak design mounts have been my favorite phone mount for my motorcycle. 100% the best. Never lost a phone and my Harley has hit some nasty potholes over the years.Unfortunately this mount is not good. One wave had it broke on half.
