I'm giving this 4 stars instead of 5 because I'm not sure I've noticed new growth, but I have noticed a difference. I've been using this shampoo for almost a month and I can honestly say I noticed a difference in the way my hair felt after the first use. Overall my hair doesn't feel thicker necessarily but the individual strands are definitely more coarse now which is interesting. I have VERY straight, thin hair and I was hoping this would help it look a little fuller. It's definitely put a stop to the frizziness of my hair which is AMAZING, but at the same time it doesn't feel weighed down or greasy. This is definitely my new favorite and I'm going to continue to buy it. I've used it daily since purchasing it. I have noticed less hair in the shower drain which is great because I haven't had to clean it everyday like I normally do. I'm very satisfied with this purchase and I look forward to seeing more results!

I have used Biotin shampoo for my thinning hair due to age and stress for the past year. I have tried many other products, this was the only one that has worked for me. My hair stylist noticed my new hair growth and asked me what I was using. She is now going to refer this product to other women with the same thinning problem. My hair is also shinier and has more volume between washes. I also use the Biotin volumizing spray after every wash.

I started noticing my hair shedding and thinning. I used a similar product recently but this product was the only one I noticed my hair shedding less. I’ve only used this product for a month but I’m liking what I’m seeing.

I originally got this shampoo for my wife. Now that we are both in our 70's, her hair has gotten thin and she has started to have some hair loss and I got this shampoo to see if it would help. I honestly can't say that we see any less hair loss, but unless there was a big difference, it would be hard to gauge. There might be a little less hair in the drain after she showers, but it's hard to say. However, we both really like the shampoo. Although we can't tell much difference in her hair loss, her hair does look softer with more volume. I don't have any abnormal hair loss, but as I have gotten older, my skin and hair have become more dry and I have had to start using conditioner, which I didn't have to do before. Now I have found that using this shampoo with a conditioner leaves my hair too soft and limp without much body and by the end of the day it looks oily. When I use just the shampoo alone however, it leaves my hair soft and manageable without looking or feeling dry, or oily at the end of the day. It smells nice and although I at first thought it was a small bottle and felt like I was paying a lot for a small amount of shampoo, it only takes a small amount to get a good lather and goes a long way. Since I'm not having to use any conditioner, that's a savings.I shampoo once and since it doesn't burn if I get it in my eyes, I leave it on my hair while I wash the rest of my body, then I rinse at the end and my hair feels clean, soft and manageable.I highly recommend this shampoo and if you need something for hair loss, the results may be more noticeable to others than it was to us, so give it a try.

I swim in a chlorine pool or in saltwater almost daily. Living in FL, my hair is also subject to a lot of sun damage. With most shampoos I have to lather repeatedly before I get all of the salt of chlorine out. Even the higher end shampoos will not leave my hair squeaky after just one lather. I expected the same from this shampoo, possibly requiring three lathers because it is sulfate free. Much to my surprise, my hair was squeaky clean after the first lather. The first time I used this shampoo, I decided to only lather once and see what happened. The result was hair that felt and looked good. Plenty of volume and smooth, shiny hair. Since the first use, I have repeatedly only needed one lather. This saves me money and time and I love the way my hair feels.The shampoo has a bit of subtle scent, quite pleasant but hard to describe. The scent does not linger once I have rinsed.Does the shampoo encourage growth? This is such as subjective thing that I really am not sure. Some days I think yes, it feels like my hair is thicker but other times I feel it looks the same. I do have fairly thick hair to begin with but not as thick as it was years ago. I have noticed new, short hairs along my hairline but that may have occurred even without this shampoo.

When I started using this bottle of Biotin shampoo, which I had never tried, I shook it pretty hard before pouring into my hands. What came out was a clear liquid, with the consistency of water. I thought this was odd, but it worked pretty well. So, before each use, I continued to shake it rather vigorously, and used it for at least a month like that. After about 30 days of use, I was still confused by the water-like consistency, so I shook it very hard and for a good length of time.. This time, a very thick gooey shampoo broke loose from the bottom and tried to come out, so thick that it did not want to pour. So, what it amounts to is this: the main body of the shampoo was stuck in the bottom of the bottle for about a month, while I was using up the important working part that should have been mixed with the main body to make a normal consistency. From then on, the shampoo never did perform correctly. It is extremely hard to rinse out and does not leave my hair in good shape at all. I wasted $27 on this bottle of Biotin that evidently aged far too long on the shelf. If I could get my money back, I would give it another chance, but that's not likely to happen.
