It's a crap shoot on Amazon, but I was pleasantly surprised. These are thick, luxury, turkish cotton bath mats/floor towels, not rugs. They have no rubber backing. I have a separate bath rug with rubber backing, but I use these by my shower because they are easy to wash and highly absorbent. The dark grey is beautiful. I would say these are much better than hotel mats.
