Easy to use, easy to clean
I got the white version of the Aria Teflon-Free 5 Qt. Ceramic Air Fryer because at the time I bought it, it was only $42 while the black one cost a lot more. I got it because I prefer to use ceramic non-stick, and because users said this unit doesn't smell like plastic; my previous air fryers never stopped smelling like plastic once they heated up, and I hate that. The unit arrived well packaged with little protective elements in the packaging. The small owners manual is clear and easy to understand, although it could be better organized. The white air fryer actually looks quite good, sleek and modern, and everything is easy to clean. The ceramic non-stick definitely works for me, and the unit didn't smell like plastic even at 400 degrees. It's also very intuitive to use. Neither I nor my husband (who's never used an air fryer), needed the manual to use it.One thing worth mentioning is I found the preset times to be too long - for example, I made fries (not steak fries or anything thick) in 5 minutes; I had planned to shake them and put them back in), but they were done. And they were golden all around, just a hint darker than we like them, but they were fine. YMMV, but I've found with all air fryers I've used to use less than the recommended time, but I used even less time with this one. I checked the temperature of this air fryer when it was heated, and it wasn't way off, so I'm wondering if it circulates the heat better than my prior air fryers.I saw some reviews of this product that said the non-stick peeled, and it's too soon to tell for me. I won't be putting any of the stuff in the dishwasher as I've been told by a pan manufacturer than most dishwasher detergent can damage ceramic non-stick. I don't know if that's true, but these are easy enough to clean that hand-washing them is fast and easy. And of course, always rinse off debris as rubbing sharp, hard pieces of fries on your cookware can scratch your non-stick. That being said, if my air fryer accessories starts to peel, I'll update this review.I haven't tried to contact the manufacturer.Btw, the top of ours is white, not black like in the picture. It actually looks very nice. This is my first non-major brand air fryer, and I like it a lot more than I liked the major brand ones I've owned previously due to lack of plastic smell, ease of use and ease of cleaning. It's an elegant looking unit, not a major priority for me, but a nice surprise. The price I got it for was really good, too, but of course that may change. I haven't looked at the recipe book, but I did find this makes really nice air fried slices of bell pepper and roasted zucchini, and it made my husband's fries fast. All in all, I'm quite happy with my Aria Air Fryer.

Best out of 3 Air Friers I've Had
I started the air fryer journey with a leading brand teflon coated one that worked really well but only did small batches. The real problem I had with it was the teflon -- not something I want in our air!! Read up on it, especially related to air quality and birds. My friend killed 3 birds before finally figuring that one out. The 2nd air fryer was a large glass bottom - love the glass but took an hour to do semi-good French fries. Worked great for a whole chicken though. This Aria Teflon Free is simply the best in my opinion --it will air fry French fries the ATK way in about 30 minutes same as #1 but has double the capacity and are better tasting and crispy. I have not tried fish, chicken, pork chops yet but to me, fries are the ultimate test and they are better than anything you buy out using ATK's recipe. Very easy to operate as well.

Ceramic lining is safer for your health
This is a wonderful Air Fryer! Attractive in my kitchen and safer for my family, and friends, due to it's ceramic lining. I avoid Teflon and forever chemicals, used in too many air fryers today and was unaware of the Teflon lining in my old unit. Then I read an article on avoiding POFA. Consequently, the Aria Air Fryer is the one I want in my kitchen. The settings are easy to use and can be easily adjusted to lower temperatures. We had another unit but the Aria is easier to clean, safer and better looking. It actually only requires a sponge to wipe the interior clean, making my life easier.

Teflon free! Easy to use
It took me a while to figure this out. I’d never used an air fryer. I did buy a book that explains air fryers. Not a cookbook. I can find recipes that convert regular baking or frying frozen items. I bought this primarily because it is ceramic and has less plastic. It’s not huge, doesn’t have temperature settings in 5° increments but so what. I use silicone baskets sometimes just to help with easy clean up. I don’t put any parts in the dishwasher. I wash them by hand and usually dry them. It works great and fast for frozen chicken strips, avocado toast, fish fillets, steaks and more. The book that came with it is pretty useless for recipes. Most of us just want instructions for basic items. Use the internet for recipes and tips. It’s simple and easy and makes food taste great. A bit of experimentation helps to fine tune your cooking experience.

Bird-home safe and nice quality!
I love that this is a safe ceramic appliance to be used in my house, as I have pet birds and their respiratory systems are sensitive to nonstick cookware/appliances. It’s important to avoid PFTE/PFOA and traditional nonstick coating when you’re shopping for cookware in a house with pet birds. This air fryer checks all the right boxes. Definitely recommend to others who have pet birds but want to be able to enjoy having an air fryer!! I use it almost everyday. Love it. Pre-set settings are great. The fish setting cooks my salmon fillets PERFECTLY.

Poorly designed
I've owned three air fryers, and this is by far the worst. It's poorly designed and hard to clean. When you try to empty grease from the bottom, you can't control the flow out of the vents. Don't buy it unless you want to spend more time cleaning than cooking.

Better than fast food
Love the color, love the easy preset buttons, clean up is easy, and when I reheat tastes like fresh…cooking freezer foods never disappoints and forget spending $20 for fast food when I can make it better and healthier at home!! Paid for itself in 3 uses. Get it!
