My hubby is a very light sleeper and has trouble staying asleep and I have trouble falling asleep. I ordered this along with a salt lamp and sleep spray to help him. OMG we love this sound machine. My husband still wakes up, but it helps him fall back asleep without tossing and turning. It has helped me fall asleep and I've noticed my sleep is much more restful now. It's the perfect size so it doesn't overwhelm the nightstand. The sounds/noises are soothing and repetitive but not distractingly so and are clear and crisp. We currently have it on the ocean sound. It arrived very quickly and I had no issues with the packaging. There were instructions included but I didn't need them thanks to other reviewers. Love it!****UPDATE***1 week later and we still love this sound machine. We forgot to turn it on one night and we noticed the difference in our sleep. We woke up feeling very UNrested. So far have used the rain sound and ocean sound. The ocean sound is my fave and the rain is my husband's.

I have always been a light sleeper - I wake up when my kids come in the door at night (which is generally a good thing I sleep light!). Our home is very quiet - we live in a rural area - and I like a quiet sleep atmosphere.I have had a lot on my mind lately, and for weeks I have found myself waking up in the middle of the night - and then spend a couple of hours ruminating on things on my mind. Some nights I was only getting 3-4 hours sleep. I tried Tylenol PM and also melatonin without much luck.Despite the fact I like a real quiet house to sleep, I decided to give this a try. Oh my gosh! I've had this for just over a week and I am finally well-rested! Yes, I wake up in the middle of the night once in a while, but I seem to go back to sleep in less than 10 minutes. The volume control is great and allows me to get it quiet enough that I can sleep, but loud enough that I can hear it. It has a bunch of sound files which are all high quality audio.I would have never thought adding white noise to my bedroom would have helped me sleep better. I have always scratched my head about the people who say they can't sleep without a fan in their room year round (BTW, there are several fan audio files in this thing, too). Now I think I understand!Nice unit. Well built. Good quality audio files and nice selection. Volume control allows very quiet to loud. I love it. I am a better, more well-rested, happier person with this in my bedroom!UPDATEI've had this magic box for a month now, and I can honestly say I don't think I have ever slept better in my life! Like I said, I have always been a "quiet room" sleeper, so I was skeptical about this. I am convinced!

This noise box is amazing. We bought this back in 2018 (its now 2025) and I'm not lying when I tell you it has been running non stop since we bought it. Yes it has been running non stop for seven years and is still going!

I waited a while to review this as I wanted to try it a few times before deciding whether I liked it or not. I purchased this product at 2am when lying awake in bed because the noise from the pub across the road was keeping me awake. I was definitely excited for it to arrive!Here are my thoughts so far...- This was my first white noise machine and I didn't want to spend a lot of money in case I didn't like it. The price is definitely right for this product.- Unlike other models, it comes with sounds other than white noise. The rainfall setting is definitely my favourite, I find it very soothing. I love that you can't hear the sounds looping either, it's very seamless and the sound quality is good.- Compact size, yet packs a punch. I have never had to turn the machine up to full volume to adequately drown out the noise of the pub across the road.- If you are expecting this to completely drown out all outside noises, think again. The pub across the road had a three day punk rock musical festival and there was zero chance of drowning out that racket. Don't have unrealistic expectations and you won't be disappointed.- I am a very good sleeper and I do not need ambient noise to help me sleep. If you are someone who likes soothing noises to fall asleep, I think you will really like the sound of the waves or the stream. However, these ambient sounds are not affective at drowning out the outside noises. If you need to quieten the outside noises, you'll need to listen to the rainfall or white noise.Because I purchased this machine to drown out the outside noises, there is pretty much zero chance I will ever use all of the other sounds that come on the machine. Still, it is nice to have an option.- I deducted one star because I like this product, but I don't love it. It does it's job well when we need it to, but if I wasn't living in a busy downtown area I would have no use for it. I find the cricket, ticking clock and crackling fire sounds very strange too. I think I would wind up in a mental asylum if I had to fall asleep listen to those!- Overall, I'm happy with my purchase, and would still choose this model over other available noise machines.

Blocks out noisy neighbors and other outside noise. Helps me sleep at night also great to keep outside noises at bay and keep pets calm. Highly recommend white noise machines.
