First Generation Apple iPad Black Silicone Case with Free Screen Protector

I was looking for something that would protect an ipad on the back and front and i found this so it comes with a silicon case and a screen protector.The screen protector fits nicely (if you know how to put it on) The case fits nicely too, for the price this is a good deal i couldn't be more happy with my case and screen protector. Now my ipad is fully protected.Here are some tips on how to put a screen protector on any device1 make sure you have a cleaning cloth and a bubble remover (Credit card works fine) and a piece of tape2 The screen protector always comes in a layers so before you apply you have to take off a layer3 After you take off the right layer either start at the top or at the bottom going up or down your decision.Slowly work your way up if you see a bubble with debri in it take off a little and use the tape and carefully stick the tape to the debri then pull it off. keep going up until you are done. If you see any bubble take the credit card and slide it over the buble then it should be removed if not take the screen protector and readjust it now you have your screen protector on now just put the silicon case on and your ipad is protected on the front and back!*Every couple months you might have to replace it but it should last for a while

The case is a little loose fitting but adequate. It covers the back with a hole in the center to show the Apple logo. The case wraps around the edges with about a 1/8 inch lip around the front of the screen. I would have liked the case to extend further around the front as much as possible without covering the active parts of the display. The cut outs along the edges give adequate access to the controls and interfaces. I don't use the screen protector. To me, the hole is the best feature of the case since it allows you to slip some fingers between the case and the iPad. The fingers through the hole allows you to easily grip the iPad with one hand. Using the hole, you can grip the iPad and hold it in almost any orientation.Overall, the case is a good value for the price. It's not fancy and a little floppy, but it is more than adequate as a case for the rear and edges of the iPad.

I've only used the case for a few hours so I can't comment on long term usage.The case is decent though it is a little loose. I didnt have any issues plugging it in while still in the case and all the buttons are usable though the rubber. My biggest complaint is that it seems to pick up any dirt or dust that it touches. However for very basic protection and giving a little more grip texture it works very well. I don't feel like it added any substantial weight or bulk to the device.The screen protector went on easily and seems pretty well made. It does nothing to prevent fingerprints or glare which there are plenty of with this device.In short there are likely better products out there, but paying $7 shipped for a screen protector and case is a steal by comparison.

The problem with a new apple gadget is that third party products are few and far between. I was happy to find this product and reasonably priced. The silicone makes the iPad feel softer and makes me less worried about scratching the coffee table. We keep our iPad at home so we were not really looking for a sleeve or book style case. With the silicone case, it keeps the iPad "feel" without adding extra bulk. I have not installed the screen protector yet...I'll update my rating if it is as bad as others have said. Bottom line, the price is great if you want something to protect your iPad. If I travel in the future with the iPad, I will likely find a different case that is suitable for travel but this product works great at home for everyday use.

Update: You can't plug into port adequately with the case on. The bottom portion needs to be flipped down to do so effectively. Not a major issue, but thought I'd mention.The case fits on the iPad pretty well, including the contour on the back. It does seem to make the iPad feel a bit heavier, but I just need to get used to it. The one thing about silicone cases in general is that it makes it hard to slide the iPad in and out of the InCase pouch, which is why I never use these on my iPhone as it turns your pockets inside out when you try and pull the iPhone out of your pocket. The screen protector went on easy, but it was impossible to get all the bubbles out, so I also chucked it. I'll wait for some better screen protectors to come out. In the meantime, I have the InCase pouch that I keep the iPad in, but again, it's very difficult to slide the iPad in and out of the pouch. But this case is okay, I'll keep it.

Great product. I bought this to accompany the Ipad I gave my wife for her birthday. I bought it as a side item because I also bought a leather "case" which acted like a picture frame and had the attachment in the back to prop it up. BUT, my wife doesn't even use the case, she loves this protective cover. It fits the Ipad so perfectly that you forget about it and think that it's just part of the Ipad. All the while it's protecting the Ipad from minor scratches, scrapes, etc as you set it down and pick it up. Not just a great product, a GREAT investment.

This is an excellent case and fits the iPad just right, not too tight. The best part about the case is that the silicone material prevents the iPad from slipping out of your hands, in addition to protecting the back from scratches. However, I am not satisfied with the the screen protector that came with it. I was not successful in applying it properly. Kept leaving bubbles. After a couple of tries, I simply gave up. I would buy it just for the case.
