Almost same like its costlier equivalent .. Bang for the buck
I ordered this stabilizer along with the The OFFICIAL ROXANT PRO video camera stabilizer to compare them together. The Roxant was about $64 when i ordered and this one was $29 ( ~2.2x difference)When i got them, they looked pretty much same from outside (see pics). For the product itself, it seemed slightly rough in its finish compared to Roxant, but still same sturdy and smooth handle grip. I tried out the stabilizer looking at a youtube video and I was amazed with how easy it was to setup ( I am a beginner and this is my first stabilizer ).. I tried it out walking around in the home, going up and down the stairs and also running around ... and the stabilizer did really awesome. It was swerving a bit, but i guess thats something i need to learn and adapt too.. but there was no noticeable running/walking motion in the video itself. I will post some sample videos in some days. One small difference with Roxant was that Roxant had 3 different size weights, but this one had same size 3 weights.

Cheap, but not worth it.
This stabilizer isn't designed well and just doesn't work very well. The biggest problem is that the joint is too stiff, so it communicates a lot of shake right up to the camera. The joint doesn't have a huge range of motion either, so it's too easy to screw up a shot. And because the joint is stiff, the only way to ensure a level shot would be to heavily weigh down the bottom half. But if you do that, then you introduce swing when moving and panning. Also, the red knob that attaches the two metal arms together is not strong and comes loose too easily, so it's a pain to get this thing balanced and to keep it that way.Great that this thing is inexpensive, but you'd probably be better off shooting by hand, using a monopod, or better yet, just getting a different stabilizer. You get what you pay for unfortunately.

Very good. Takes a bit of practice. Great for the price.

It has a hitch in the video that you just can not get rid of :(
Its ok for about 30 seconds then all the screws loosen up and all your adjustments start sliding...also not bad if you are not moving and just taking pan shots. When you walk it has a slight hitch that is impossible to get rid. I have tried various cameras and adding weight on both sides. The hitch just wont go away.If you are just looking for something to make your shots a little smoother this is better than holding your camera in your hands. Don't expect cinema smoothness with this device. I am wondering if the official roxant version is better than this one.I used this on my channel Fixation 500 to video the aquarium at Atlantis if you watch it you can see the Hitch in the video that I am referring to.

Screws don’t tighten well
Not too impressed. The screw knob in the middle of the handle that holds the top and bottom pieces together does not tighten too well. In fact it looks like it should have two knobs so that it can’t pivot around the one knob. Also, the screw that holds the camera on the top plate is a little too long in the threads and bottoms out in the camera so the camera doesn’t tighten very well on the top of the mount. Not sure what to do about that yet. So basically I can’t really even use it until I fix these two problems that are really designed problems. And now that I think about it, the rubber handgrip pivots on aball and socket with a small Wingnut type type tightener and it doesn’t tighten too well either. It’s designed so you can have the handle at any angle but doesn’t tighten very well. That’s probably the least of the problems though.Hopefully I can get through these problems and find it useful.

The unit works great, especially for the price
The unit works great, especially for the price. In fact, I'm kind of surprised at how high quality it easy. It's mostly aluminum, and it does the job well. It doesn't stabilize as well as a full on gimble, but for the price, I certainly can't complain.

Great Solution for Me!
Great, inexpensive solution for stabilizing my camera. Works nicely with my Note 5 Smart Phone as well (my adapter) screwed right on to the same location as my professional camera. Price was a real plus to me.

The build quality is that of fecal matter. The arm with the weights wouldn't tighten down, the ball head was stiff and the package appeared to have been one that was returned. It would remain balance and the range of motion was too limiting.
