Transformer Incl. 2 Former Unreleased Bonus Tracks

I discovered this album in my late 20's through a co-worker. He like Reed's chord progressions and fell inn live with the lyrics and stories he told. Vivid descriptions and bent humor with a dash of harsh truths that will transform the listener. My favor track is Perfect Day. There is a line about how his s.o. made him feel like he was someone else, someone good. After twenty years I hear that line and it lifts my soul every time I hear it. Good stuff from a master of vivid song writing and simple singing. So take a walk on the wild side and take a good listen to a master songster.

This album came with a booklet too, if you don’t know I purchase these for a little old man at work. He’s relieving his past through music, and it’s amazing to see someone his age cry when a younger person who knows how to use a computer, finds an old album he love bad in his day. Thanks!

Do not Know how I missed this superb album of music back in the day. Can really hear the influence of producers David Bowie and Mick Ronson. Can not stop listening to it.

I like some of Lou Reeds music but never was in to it very much. I know this is considered a classic but I may sell it to someone who appreciates it. I’ll keep the live album with Sweet Jane and the great guitar jams.

I grew up with this record playing in my home. My parents still have it, but I wanted the CD version since I don't own a record player. It's so good. Classic. This man is ingenious on this album. As is bowie of course. Truly inspired. Language is colorful for today's standards, but I still love it to pieces.

Loved this album way back then, but was not happy with the "remastering" of the CD. Had to fool with the EQ and balance controls to listen in my car - and even then didn't really hear the sound I wanted to hear.But ... Any Lou Reed is better than NO Lou Reed - so I'm glad to add this record to my collection.

Timeless album! Starting a CD collection and had to have Transformer in my collection! Sounds great never gets old! The case is pretty neat as well.

Another gift for my son who is discovering great music from the past! Great to be able to find on Amazon....thanks!
