As a non-professional, I was a bit hesitant to tackle the project of making my own ethernet cables for my home network, but the AVARTEK Pass Through RJ45 Crimping Tool made it surprisingly easy. The tool is designed for CAT6a CAT6 CAT5e CAT5 connectors and has a pass-through design that eliminates the need to trim wires to a specific length. Despite my lack of experience, I achieved a 100% success rate with each crimped connector. I highly recommend this tool for anyone looking to make their own high-quality ethernet cables at home.

Easy to use

Unlike the previous crimping tool I had (well-known DIY brand), this one worked perfectly and simply 8 out of 8 connections each time. The difference is in the ability of the tool to even put pressure on all of the push-down pins. Also the cable cutting and stripping bits worked well. Also the pass-through cutoff blade. Am using CAT6 cable. I recommend buying this tool

This is really great for a cheap tool and does the job fine unlike the more traditional cheap versions from screwfix etc

I was initially very reluctant to switch to using pass-through connectors, as I had heard rumours that they're not great for PoE (as the ends are exposed). However, I am so pleased I made the switch. After getting used to it, this tool makes the job so much easier. It makes it very easy to terminate pass-through and normal jacks. Although, all the cables I made with the pass-through jacks worked so much better than the non-pass-through equivalent. This tool removes all the excess cables and trims them flush to the jack. However, the blade for trimming the excess cables doesn't go all the way to the edge of the port, sometimes the two-edge cables don't seem to cut cleanly. But I only experienced this when using cheap quality cable. In all cases, the blade was sharp enough to cut through the conductors, and score the plastic enough that it would just need pulling afterwards to finish them off. The stripping tool on the actual crimper is a bit cumbersome to use, because it's difficult to twist the tool itself. (It's easier to twist the cable). However, the addition of the separate striping tool made this a great buy. Totally recommend.

I bought this just to see if I could add the connections to an extended cable. It was very easy, worked first time (both ends) and could not have been simpler to use.

Not much to say about this. It's an all-in-one tool for crimping RJ45 connectors, cutting cables, and stripping cables. It does the job effectively. Once in a while, you might end up with a couple of individual cables still hanging on after crimping but they're usually cut enough by this tool to easily remove them.
