I would definitely recommend this board to anyone who wants to get into long boarding but wants to keep their cost to start low. I'm also on a college campus every day and it suits my needs just fine. I get to all my classes on time. It's really a great board. **Q: Is there any shock pads under the trucks?** A: There is a plastic plate between the board and truck mount. The board itself is very flexy. **Q: If i buy this board, i'd like to put bigger wheels on it. in your experience what's the biggest size i can put on this board (w/o wheel bite) ?** A: If you check out the dimensions of the board, you'll see quite a bit of space for bigger wheels. Even with the bigger wheels, the board can't turn hard enough to have the board touch the wheels... I’ve had too many good experiences with this brand. However, the last time I ordered one from this company, they must’ve given me a showroom one or something because it was so old and decrepit. I couldn’t even ride it I still have it to this day. It’s just taking up space because they refuse to give me a refund or send me another one.
