Smooth, Precise, and Perfect for Daily Writing
This mechanical pencil makes writing feel effortless. I use it daily in my journal, and the smoothness of the lead combined with the rotating Kuru Toga mechanism keeps every line consistent and sharp with no uneven edges or constant sharpening. The balance and grip are excellent, giving it a premium feel that makes long writing sessions comfortable. The 0.7mm lead glides perfectly across the page without breaking, and the overall build quality feels solid and reliable. It’s both functional and elegant, with a clean white design that looks great on any desk. If you enjoy journaling or note-taking and appreciate precision tools, this pencil is a must-have. It’s one of those everyday items that quietly becomes a favorite.

Comfortable to use and does seem to always keep the lead point focused.
Comfortable to use and does seem to always keep the lead point focused. Making all words the same level of sharpness. Quality seems to be of great and should last a long time. I have a surplus of major brand lead so I can't expand on this brand of lead. It only came with 1 lead and it seemed fine and erased easily if I had to erase something. I would like this available in a thicker lead .9 and even a 1.3 . Because it rotates lead on it's own; you don't have to rotate the actual pencil. That means you wont have to worry about the metal holder poking or rubbing on neighboring fingers. Highly recommend this product.

WRITING SOLUTION
This review is after 3 months of using this pencil. I mostly use it for writing, especially taking notes—college-level notes, iykyk. I do have a heavy hand, so this has become one of my favorite pencils thus far. PROs - lead rotates, so you always get a consistent and dark lead. - never have the problem of a slanted lead & then your writing becoming lighter - best for heavy-handed writers, the lead will shrink back in, or I can describe it as you will feel like the lead "springing" back into the actual chamber to protect the lead from breaking; unless you're just experimenting & intentionally break the lead any way you desire - appreciate that this pencil is light weight (IMO) - appreciate that you can retract the lead, & the tip back into the chamber so it will not snag any cloth in your pencil pouch/bag - smudge-proof (even after going through it w/ a highlighter &/or running my finger through what I had just written) - The cap that holds the eraser at the end does not easily come off. You really have to pull the cap to access the eraser and pull the eraser to access the opening for lead insertion. CONs - There is not a lot of grip assistance, for example. Like a rubber holder However, for me, this is a minor issue b/c I have a death grip when writing. This can be a major con for others such as those who - a tiny eraser at the end, but is not a major flaw; I would recommend to get a separate eraser, (Japanese brand never fails & lasts long)

Still would recommend
I've bought 2 of these before and never had problems but the leads keep getting stuck and I have to take it apart to fix it. I love the other 2. I would still recommend these pencils based on the others I've bought. The price is good and stays sharp. The lead doesn't break easily and it stays sharp. Maybe I just found one thats iffy. The eraser although small erases evenly with no streaks left.

Must have
The 2x engine makes a diffrence it makes a fine point and depending on the lead you get very good eraseability and versatile since its 0.7 mm and the appearance is quite nice along with the material used for the paint

Use 3/4 length of the leads
Good quality pencil, feel it light. Major drawback is that the lead that wear down to 1/2 inch long don't come out from nib. Less eco friendly for color leads.

Smooth writing without thinking
It's actually amazing. I didn't realize how much of a difference it would make, but even just writing feels a lot smoother. It so far feels pretty good to hold, which I doubt will change. I was pleasantly surprised that the softer lead (I usually use HB) didn't smear as much, nor did it break as easy as I thought. I haven't been using it that long, but so far the lead has never broke. You might think the pencil is a little expensive, which is true if you compare it to just disposable bic ones for example, but I think it's incredible value for what it improves on for my writing experience.

Estupendo. Imprescindible.

Best mechanical pencil
I've been using the Kuru Toga pencil for a few weeks now and I'm genuinely impressed. The rotating lead mechanism is a game-changer; it keeps the tip consistently sharp, which means no more inconsistent line thickness or smudged writing. It's comfortable to hold and feels sturdy. If you're tired of flat, dull pencil tips, this is a must-buy.

Thank you

Best pencil for mechanical pencil lovers
I absolutely love the Uni Kuru Toga mechanical pencil — so much that I now own six of them. It’s easily the best mechanical pencil I’ve ever used. The unique rotating lead mechanism keeps the tip sharp and consistent, which makes a huge difference for both writing and drawing. The grip is comfortable, and the pencil feels sturdy and well-made, with a sleek, modern design I really appreciate. While it’s a bit pricier than standard mechanical pencils, the quality is absolutely worth it. I keep one in my backpack, my office, and my home because I can’t go without it. Highly recommend for students, artists, or anyone who writes a lot.
