Apparently Amazon refurbished means shipping products with obviously worn boxes and missing pieces. DO NOT BUY REFURBISHED. My son was so excited to open this on his birthday. We go to assemble it and it's missing the LIGHT (the most expensive component). Try to contact amazon and you get automated options only to refund or replace the whole kit, which is nice, but this was my son's birthday present and I wasn't about to pack it back up. Just bummed we had to find some sort of light replacement after spending $15 on a kit containing a plastic container, cheap crystal growing powder and some stickers. The jar light was literally the redeeming factor to the kit and it was MISSING. Lesson learned. Don't buy refurbished from Amazon.

It's cute and all but we had a lot of issues getting the crystals to grow. We returned the 1st kit thinking maybe it was a bad batch and had the same problem with the second kit. I reached out for customer service and the response a cut & pasted copy of the instructions with a link to contact the company if they didn't work (because I guess that someone who would take the trouble of setting up a return, dropping it off at UPS, tracking the package that UPS seems to have lost and going on Amazon to post a question is too lazy to read the instructions). I contacted the company as directed and haven't received a response. Eventually we are getting the crystals to grow but it has taken over a week and I expect it to take 2-3 more for the process to complete. In nature it can take thousands of years for a crystal to grow-we just didn't sign up to wait that long for a toy one to.

This is such a cute idea! We’ve purchased many different crystal growing kits. The crystals never grew with this one and the lamp part itself fell apart after one use. This was a birthday gift for my daughter and was a very disappointing one. Complete waste of money.

Ours came missing crystal powder. Reached out to customer service on instruction page and no response. Would probably be a fun project if it had everything.

Once you open the box there is multiple warns of how this product can cause major harm that will result in you seek medical attention. I quickly throw this product in the trash. I’m not taking any chance with my kids health.

This was a great gift too keep kids busy and experimenting with something new. It makes a neat night light also.

We loved the product when reading the details and knew the kids would love them. They did until after multiple attempts the crystals would not grow. Disappointing for all!

Worst product ever. Trying to attach the power button to the bottom of the cap is literally a joke. Had the Crystals soaking in the “growing powder water” for over four days and nothing happened. Good thing my kids forgot about it, I just threw it away. What a waste of money.
