NOT FOR 82 xv920!!!
I installed this and it fit. The 2 problems were that the knob that you twist to select res pro or on wouldn't twist up because it didn't stick out far enough to pass by the gas tank. It wasn't able to engage the fuel selection. When twisted it would twist right into the bottom lip of the tank.Secondly. The vacuum hose fitting is much smaller than the original size so you will either have air leaks or have to come up with some type of conversion from one end to the other. Not worth the hassle. Didn't work for me.

Do not purchase this item to replace the stock valve on a 1985 Virago XV700
This item is not a replacement for the stock fuel valve that is used on a 1985 Yamaha Virago XV700. The vacuum port and fuel outlet are not oriented correctly. There is no room between the cylinder head and vacuum port to install line and clamp.

It fit my 1985 Yamaha Virago 700 perfectly with no leaks.

Not exactly a direct fit
Not bad, wasn’t an exact fit for an 82 Virago 750. I’m going to make it work though.

Fuel lines should go 👉 this direction, not 👇 this direction.
Fits tank, but will need to modify. It hits the cooling fins on engine.
