Evokes the architecture and art of words with nature - Ethos-Pathos -Logos/ Excellent !!!!!
Dr. Basu words form harmony - a harmony and balance that emanates from our universe through and in concert with our essence as Humans. They reflect the wisdom and sustain the ancient proofs of Aristotle with his great dignity. The words capture the tension and beauty of our modern world, reveal its tragedies and challenges and like the most fitting title - we journey from dusk to dawn with Dr. Basu's optimism - his words guide us as a star point and enlighten us as we live. It is a beautiful book and its eternal substance will grow with our reflection - back and forth - literally from dusk to dawn. Thank you Dr. Basu

Kudos to the Poet ....
Poet Amiyo Basu has gathered an abundance of poems in this book—poems that travel through time (is it absolute or is it relative?) and dimension, through both ancient times and the future, through the history of the world—seeking to make sense of the unknown in the search for understanding “for mature and wiser faces.” Instead of naming a couple favorite poems, I choose to share the images and phrases that moved me. One especially in “The Tune Washes Over,” I loved “A few blades of dry grass try desperately / to hold on to the remaining sparkling dewdrops / keeping the collective hymns alive.” In this, I hear the grace of a psalm. And there’s the playfulness of “Chutney” and “Quien Sabe”—with the imagery of “watching jellyfish dancing in the waves … Through language, of course.”“Balancing Act” addresses the cycle of nature yet reveals “We the humans, on the other hand, kept our growth unchecked” thus, boding a planet’s demise. There’s the mystery of Oumuamua as well as, in a later poem, a persistent young man’s discovery of Pluto. The poignant “dissolved into oneness” of “Passing.” Oh, and “the murmur of polite applause” … yes! But it’s “From Dusk to Dawn” that, after rereading the collection, is still my favorite—with this stunning phrase: “The world continues to be beautiful, / the birds and animals are free to roam, / only the humans are in cages.” Kudos to the Poet.

Poems that honor the highest calling of poetry
Dr. Basu's first two book of poetry refresh and enhance my connections to Mother Nature and human nature. Dusk to Dawn does this also while adding some daunting excursions into philosophy, science and technology, gently guided by the author's irrepressible sense of humor. One note of caution--this is not a book to be read at dusk. It will keep you awake, thinking and laughing and thinking again, until dawn.
