NOT A BRAND NEW ITEM. LOOKS WORN
The media could not be loaded. I ordered this item for an upcoming surgery and when I received it in the mail, a hair was imbedded in the packaging. I dismissed it because of the seal that I assumed would contain a brand new item. I thought perhaps it was something in shipment and wasn’t too concerned. I have surgery in less than a week and was prepared to open a brand new item for the day prior to surgery but something told me to open and check. I’m very disappointed that the item looks worn, not just worn but deodorant still on the item. I don’t normally order from Amazon but was encouraged by my doctors office for the price. This is my first surgery so I wasn’t sure what the procedure with clothing items was but I thought it would be sanitized and ready for after surgery use since the label said not to use if the seal was broken which it was not. Extremely disappointed since it was supposed to be new. Looking back the seal was lifted at the bottom but I dismissed it due to shipping. It was probably just placed back on after opening.

Attention tall ladies
I ordered this bra prior to my BR. For reference I am 6' tall and went from a 32DD to a 32B. I ordered a medium. At first, I hated the fit. It was too tight under my arms and the bottom band rubbed against my incisions underneath. Then I had the brilliant idea to buy bra extenders to lengthen the shoulder straps. It is now my favorite. I also ordered a Carefix Mary bra. The Carefix bra material is softer (the Marena has a more polyester feel), but I prefer the fit of the Marena (with adjustment). The lower neckline is more versatile and the bra has 3 eyelit closure adjustments to adjust width versus 2 on the Mary style. I typically sleep with the Carefix and wear the Marena during the day.

Too many rows of hooks.
Several things I didn't like. I had a breast reduction and a lift; with anchor scar-incisions. This bra has several rows of hooks in the front, leaving a bulge between your breasts that shows under your shirt. I have never seen a front closure bra before with more than one row of hooks. The bra is also tight fitting in the cup area, it feels like a mimimizer, compressing your breasts, making you look flat. The straps also have multiple rows of hooks on the top of the shoulder for adjistment, again, bulky.. The bra is mot attractive at all when on, but it was comfortable, if you want to be compressed and you don't mind explaining the bulge between your breasts, should someone inquire. Having a reduction, I wanted comfort, but not at the expense of looking flat chested with a bulg in the middle from the muliple rows of hooks. I sent it back.Pricey too, the black is even more than the biege, don't understand that.If you want a stylish, comfortable and supportive post surgical bra that does not put pressure on your incision, I would suggest;Annette Post Surgical Softcup Bra (10618)I purchased this through Amazon and I love it, I even ordered three more! It is pretty and so comfortable! Supportive too and true to size. I now wear a 38 C, and it fits great!

This Is THE Postop Bra
This really is the most perfect post-op bra. I'm writing this on Saturday, which is 5 days after my breast reduction; I've worn this bra 24/7 since the surgery. This bra is actually comfortable. It doesn't have any exposed plastic rings or other rough edges that irritate my skin. They hold up well in the washer and do not roll up. I was so worried I wouldn't find a bra that would provide comfort and support, but this is absolutely the one! It's definitely a little more pricey than some of the others, and is worth every penny. I've purchased two now.About my body: for your comparison: I'm not a small girl. I wear a 14/16 in pants and before my reduction I wore a 40D bra. I asked for my surgeon to take off as much as possible, and am so happy I did. That amount ended up being 3 pounds. I'm definitely going to be a small A cup when the swelling goes down. I ordered the large and pre-surgery it was super snug, but after the reduction it fits perfectly. Just follow the sizing chart and order one (or 2 or 3) today.

Disappointed with new band style
I initially bought these bras two years ago for recovery from a breast reduction. I have been wearing them ever since because the ones I initially ordered are comfortable and offer support with the 2" band. However, I recently ordered two more a few weeks ago and the bras that I received have a new band style that is uncomfortable for me. The new band rolls up all the time and does not stay in place like the previous style did. I recently had revision surgery and this new band is irritating on my scars. I used to love this bra when the bottom band was scalloped (like the one pictured) and stayed rigid. I'm disappointed in the new band; I wish they had never changed it!

I do like the bra and it does offer support but FYI- ...
I had a breast lift with implant removal and needed a surgical bra with support. I ordered the beige small based on size chart as I am a 34 B (small B) but i couldn't even close it. I returned and ordered the black in medium. I do like the bra and it does offer support but FYI- This bra fits way smaller than expected. With Medium I set up all the clips on the very first clipping making it as big as it will go and it is tight. Not just on breast but everywhere. I stayed with the medium as i need the bra Now and don't know if the large would then be too big. It is a great post surgical bra once you get the correct size.

I really like this bra
I really like this bra. I'm 5 1/2 weeks post reduction surgery and my PS wants me to switch to sports bras. I must've tried 2 dozen and none gave me the comfort and support as good as this one. I bought 3 of these till I am ready to swap to an underwire. I actually just received two in the mail today. One black. One beige. The black one looked like it has been worn. I'm returning that one IMMEDIATELY!... That didn't make me particularly happy because I am currently an AMAZON PRIME customer and so far nothing has been delivered in a timely fashion. Always a day or two later. Wondering if PRIME is such a good idea...
