Because I travel a lot, I removed the metal clip to easily pass through TSA at airports without having to remove the holster from my belt. This was easily done (by slicing stitching of leather covering the metal clip, bending and snapping the metal clip, then drilling out the rivet while a piece of wood was inserted into the holster and pulling out the remaining metal with pliers) and what remained was a totally undamaged double-belt loop.
