In 1949, Mr. Kihachiro Onitsuka began his athletic footwear company (Onitsuka Co., Ltd.) by manufacturing basketball shoes out of his living room in Kobe, Japan. He chose the name ASICS for his company in 1977, based on a famous Latin phrase "Anima Sana In Corpore Sano," which, when translated, expresses the ancient ideal of "A Sound Mind in a Sound Body." Taking the acronym of this phrase, ASICS was founded on the belief that the best way to create a healthy and happy lifestyle is to promote total health and fitness. Today, ASICS offers a full line of performance-driven athletic shoes and technical active sports apparel and accessories dedicated to bringing harmony to the body and soul.

Good shoes, needed a day of break-in
Shoe will fit a little snug when you first put it on because there's very little cotton padding. After about 2 hours of break in they fit me just right. (I'm a size 11.5 Nike trainer / same for this shoe)This is a very good shoe for deadlifts or squats. Increased load capacity by keeping heel low and planted firm. I really feel anchored when pulling weights instead of feeling tilted like I might fall forward.I did not wrestle in this shoe so I don't know how good it is for that.

Beyond what I expected shoes.
It is Sept 15, 2018 and this shoe still looks new and the bottom soles have barely worn out. This is the best shoe I have ever own. It is built like a TANK. This shoe have gone through countless hours of brutal and professional level field testing through mix martial arts, plyometrics, olympic weight lifting (225-495lbs), and it keeps on grinning while it takes all of my 200lb bodyweight abuse. I think this shoe is made out of kevlar and some other virtually indestructible material including the shoe laces. Normally I go through about two-three shoes a year because the stitching breaks, the soles pull apart from the shoes body, and/or the laces rip off. I also love the velcro strap that prevents the shoe laces from becomijg tangled as well as coming loose in the middle of action and also doubles in a more important way, as an ankle support. The only downside is that only athletes or every day gym folks who have NO foot arch issues can wear these shoes because the entire inner bottom soles are completely flat. These are mainly for wrestling or MMA training or competitions. If you compete, I recommend having one strictly for training and another one strictly for competition.

Sweeeet!
I've always liked the Aggressor series and now they have one that's nearly all black. I love the blacked out look of these shoes. My teammates love them and constantly compliment how nice they look. Appearance is a 10/10.Fitment was spot on, but I was coming from Asics so I already knew I needed another pair of 13s. Not too wide nor too slim; perfect snug fit. Another big reason I bought this is because the convenience of the strap. Just tuck the laces in the pocket and pull the strap over and you don't have to worry about taping your shoes up.Having grip all around definitely helps in certain situations and that's why I chose these over the JB Elites and other pairs. I'd advise giving these shoes about 2-3 weeks (roughly 10-15 practices) to break in and let the grip develop. During that break-in period you'll be slipping and sliding.Overall, I would highly recommend these shoes to anyone. These shoes look great and function even better. Best Asics shoe yet.

Great shoe, extremely comfortable!
My youngest son loves the shoe! Last year he wore Asics and never had any issues with that model. He outgrew that pair and decided to switch to Nikes this year. Unfortunately he kept on getting a strange pain in his ankle and the bottom of his soul during and after practice. This pain would not happen at any time accept for when he wore that wrestling shoe. His grandparents decided to purchase his the Aggressor shoe for Christmas and he truly loves the shoe. No more strange pains, no more concerns. The fit is great, shoe is extremely comfortable, and has held up well. The only complaint is that the coloration has faded a bit near the toe. That is to be expected with constant practices and tournament nearly every weekend. Overall, definitely two thumbs up!!

Good shoe
These are fantastic shoes. I don't wrestle (I'm 35). I use them for working out and they are great. The sole is flat to the ground with very little give, so the shoe is very balanced. The look is awesome. The high top strap keeps the shoe very snug and stable.I deduct one start because these shoes are tight. I've had them for less than a month now, so I am still breaking them in, but they are extremely tight on my feet and one spot in particular (where the base of the tongue attaches to the shoe - at the bottom of the laces) really puts a lot of pressure on my foot - to the point of pain. I will give them a couple of months to break-in, but if I still feel that pain after that I am returning them to ASICS under warranty as defective. Also, not a sizing issue because I ordered two sizes to try on (sent the other back) and I am wearing the size that fits.

and its AWESOME! They look cool
I was worried these might feel hot on my little tootsies since theres not any mesh (the last pair I had were the adidas "super slays" which had a lot of mesh) but they dont feel hot at all. I was also concerned with the sole, since I wanted a REAL split sole. For whatever reason every brand SAYS they have a split sole but its not, theres always that hard bridge between the toe and heel which I think cuts out some of the flexibility. Anyway, this thing is nothing BUT sole and GRIP, and its AWESOME! They look cool, which is obviously half the game, but I feel like I have traction from any angle on the mat. Ive got nothing but good opinions about these shoes.I cant back this part up, but legend has it that if you truly believe, every shot you take in these will be 100% successful, and Dan Gable himself will approve of your techniques/footwear.

Asics Best for Less
Excellent shoe for an excellent price. While these colors might not appeal to everyone, the grip, flexibility, and durability appealed to me as my last pair has lasted forever!! Now, as I went shopping, these were about half the price of current model, but by FAR the BEST VALUE for the money!! Right out of the box, the forefoot was a bit tight, but I know this brand stretches just a bit, still to get the best fit, order a half a size larger than your street shoes. Ready? Wrestle!

Highly recommended
These are the best wrestling shoes I've ever worn. Very comfortable and sturdy. I prefer a grip pattern across the bottom vs the common separated heel/toe sections. The white upper still looks great after numerous uses. Wrestling shoes tend to be rather narrow on my feet but these fit perfect. Well worth the money, as they are certainly not the cheapest option out there.
