Guide to men's tailoring, Volume I: How to make shirts, trousers and vests

Unimpressed.
The books are thinner than I anticipated for the price. The photos are from the 1960's or 1970's. If you don't know anything about tailoring men's suits you may find value in this book and its companion book.

A step by step instruction with no explanation
There's a real lack of information for the tailoring of men's garments so I took a chance on this volume. Its not helpful. It spends a few pages with poorly drawn illustrations explaining various stitches then immediately goes into a step by step guide to the construction of a pair of paints, a shirt, and a vest. There is no explanation to orient you towards each garment, its just a series of poorly explain photographs attempting to describe the process. I found it extremely unhelpful. I'm not entirely sure who this book was written for as it doesn't introduce the beginner to the art of tailoring and I expect someone with experience would find it monotonous.oh yeah, and the bloody title on the spine is upside down.
