I bought it because it's hard to find flat irons at 1 & 1/2 inch wide and because it said it came with a "heat resistant styling glove and carry bag." I did not receive a heat resistant styling glove. The carry bag is made of very lightweight cloth, so it does not work well to keep the straightener from being hot to the touch right after using it. (Maybe the heat resistant styling glove and carry bag is just one item - in which case, I would not count on it to be heat resistant immediately after use.) It is also harder to get my hair straight with this model than the more expensive, name brand straighteners I usually buy at beauty supply stores. I am not sure whether it's the ceramic plate that makes it harder to use, I believe the one I am replacing is titanium. I just did a google search and found this: "Consider titanium flat irons if you have thick, coarse hair. Titanium hair straighteners can heat up faster than ceramic flat irons, and they hold a high heat at a consistent temperature." This may explain why I am having a hard time straightening my hair with this model (even at almost top temperature), since I have thick wavy hair. In summary, this product works and gets the job done at a very good price. However, it is not the right choice for my thick hair. I will keep it as a back up, but get a more expensive, name brand one next time.

I really like this straightener. It has a higher temp than my old one but does not over heat my hair. It's not too wide and I never have to mess with the cord. And I like that the on and off buttons are on the side so I do not accidentally turn it off or change the settings.

amazing. cant believe how quickly this heats up. the plate edges are rounded so it doesnt kink the hair and it gets super hot. so worth it.

For the price couldn't ask for a better product.I have fine natural curly hair and it does a fantastic job, no pulling of the hair at all.Great product great price.

I had returned a larger flat iron and purchased this replacement. It was perfect for my wavy hair. It leaves my "tresses" just perfect and smooth. Love it!

Love it.! I have every size you could think of but this one is SPECIAL. I just like how it works and how you can see the lighted temperature on top and also has the automatic shut off.
