Saved us from fleas!!
We had a horrific flea infestation for several months. I am apparently delicious, and several years later, the scars on my legs from flea bites still leave me looking like some sort of plague victim. We tried everything to get rid of them - various flea meds, food safe diatomaceous earth in the carpets, vacuuming so much that our vacuum almost caught fire - and it was only after we got the VETS+BEST waterless shampoo and furniture spray that the infestation really started to die. The smell can be pretty intense, but it at least smells *nice*, rather than super bitter or medicinal or something. We bought this most recent round of VETS+BEST products for a friend who was trapped by a flea infestation, and it was just as effective for them last month as it was for us a few years ago! Glad the fleas havent adapted to survive it yet - as they have many medications...

Safe for pets and people
When we were fighting fleas - I used this on my own legs so I could ACTUALLY SLEEP WITHOUT GETTING BITTEN. It didn't have an odor that scared the cats. And my most finicky cat even let me use this on her. Note that essential oils aren't the best for cats - so use this in conjunction with other flea treatment plans. Capstar is a good internal medicine for cats. I didn't know that before... But I give this 5 stars because it worked EXTREMELY well for my finicky skiddish cat. It was more a peace of mind thing, however. So don't expect to buy this one product and be done with fleas forever. It is annoying to fleas, but does not have complete kill power.

Works, but difficult to wash scent off my hands.
Can't say how well it works since the cat I'm using it on is new to me and this is the first time applying it to her. Her previous owner said she used it on her and it works. My only issue with it is the scent. It does smell like mint and clove, obviously, since those are its ingredients. But it's pretty difficult to wash off my hands. I either have to wash SEVERAL times and/or use a scrub brush. But I do like that it's easy to apply to the cat, though I do have to sneak it on her a section of her body at a time, she won't sit still for a full application.

I wish it had done better, she has very long hair
Seriously think she has more fleas than she did before I used it. Have given her two head to tip of her tail and every little toe between baths with it and she is now biting her hair out in clumps. She is doing lots of laying around, and is not interested in any type of play. Not normal for her. I wish it had done better, she has very long hair, and I MIGHT get a 3rd bath out of it once I know for sure it's safe and she's not getting sick. I really lathered her up good with it, liked the smell so much better than anything else we've tried, but she's just not acting herself. Is this normal? I avoided her face, ears, and genitals. I used a wipe to clean the flea dirt off her skin that the comb didn't get off. and really looked her over good, sure thought we had them off...Maybe she's just pouting, she doesn't want anything to do with baths, will tolerate brushing and her flea combs (barely) She was like this after the first application a few days ago as well, just not as bad, or for as long, and so I waited 2 full days to use it again, knew I'd need to reapply, I could see the fleas moving when I combed her out with her flea combs. This is her, (and MY) first case of the fleas, so we're trying to learn what to do, I hate her feeling so miserable and the bites on her hurt me almost as much as they do her. I did order some D.E. today, and a different type (double tooth) comb. Also a flea trap. So far we do not seem to have any in our house, not sure where they even came from, she doesn't go outside, and has no contact with any other animals. I'm just at a loss here, but determined to get them off of her, something has to work, hopefully before she is chewed up any worse. She's a silver Maine Coon, weighs between 17 - 20 lbs. (so far) and her hair is pretty thick and long, but I certainly wet her down good and got the product on her skin. Did I use too much? Any advice? We CANNOT use Frontline, it makes her very sick. I just assumed that any chemical product would do the same thing, and kept looking for a natural way to help her. Had such high hopes, but back to the drawing board, and a few more hours of research I guess.

Fast Relief for our Cat
I had medicated my cat with Frontline only to realize he had Frontline-resistant fleas. He was miserable. His leg was all chewed up, he lost pounds of weight, and he was diagnosed as anemic. Our vet prescribed a different topical medication, but we were told we had to wait until we would be reapplying frontline to put on the new medicine. The cat could not wait that long. We used the Vet's Best Flea Waterless Bath for Cats, since the idea of holding him still with shampoo on in water for 15 minutes seemed approximately impossible. This was instant, and the cat could run off as soon as he was thoroughly covered. I followed instructions, and as he is a cat with a thick coat, it took a little longer than expected, but it applied easily, and i brushed it through to reach the skin. It worked well for a few days until our vet said we could go ahead and apply the new medication. He was so fluffy and soft after application, I decided to wait a week after applying the new meds (during which time even more fleas evacuated from his fur) to reapply the waterless bath. He not only tolerated it, but appeared to enjoy it the second time. Maybe it feels good, or maybe he correlates feeling better with this shampoo. Either way, we have purchased twice, and will purchase again.

Safer flea and tick preventative
This is a great alternative to chemicals on your sensitive animals for ticks and fleas. Flea combs are good too. Smells wonderful.

Do not buy this item!
I had high hopes for this because of the good reviews but let me tell you flat out for those of you who are in the same position as I was before buying this, IT DOES NOT WORK and i'd even go as far as to say it made the fleas even worse. And it had a weird effect on my cats, they became lethargic, after I put it on them they were just blah for the rest of the day and slept until the next morning, when normally they're both like kids who had too much sugar. I received it on tuesday and put it on my cats as soon as I got it, followed the directions and even took it a step further by using a flea comb. I pulled off no more then 15 fleas off of both my cats combined I came home today and used the flea comb on them again just to test to see how well this stuff worked and I was pulling off 10 fleas off each of them with just one brush of the flea comb. In less then 10 minutes i've pulled over 40 off of both of them. Before I put the flea stuff on them I wouldn't of even said that they had a mild case of fleas but now within 24 hours the number of fleas on them has tripled. This item has false advertising written all over it, it doesn't kill fleas because the fleas were still jumping as I was combing them off no more then a minute after I put this on them, the only good thing about this item is that it smells good and made my cats smell good. My item wasn't even closed when it arrived I opened the package and the lid was off and it had leaked all inside the package, its not even worth the effort of returning it so it'll just be another failed 'all natural remedy' in my cabinet collecting dust, bottom line is stick to normal flea medicine or regular medicine period, i've had no results with all natural items. They either didn't work and now made the issue worse.

It Works!
After wasting my money on other products including Frontline and Advantage, this product line is what worked! I used lots of different products and this was the system that finally did the trick. Bathe the cat, then use the safe cat spray and waterless bath by Vet's Best as touch ups in the difficult areas over the next days/weeks. I don't like using waterless products because the cat licks the byproducts, but if you use it sparingly and as needed to control the fleas it works and doesn't make the cat sick. The cocoon stage is the toughest to beat. Get a soft bristle brush (usually comes dual sided) which can be used during bathing and post bathing, which helps to remove the cocoons and larvae. I brush the cat on a counter and you will be able to see what is getting flicked off the cat. Don't brush your cat on your floor. At one point all the products that I had tried before Vet's Best forced me to have to shave my cats and we were still losing the flea battle. Advantage and Frontline no longer works. Call your veterinarian to learn which flea drops work in your area. The fleas have evolved. I used these products for years with great success, but no more. I also had covered all of my furniture with sheets and towels and washed consistently until we got things under control. The Biocare flea trap (with light) is also a great purchase. The Vet's Best spray for the home also doesn't stink like other products.
