Carhartt Men's Loose Fit Heavyweight Denim Double-Front Utility Logger Jean

These are great, heavy duty jeans with a comfortable fit. Most jeans fit me tight in the leg and hip and even going a waist size up doesn't correct the problem. Carhartt's dungarees fit very comfortably though. They are loose fitting. These are very sturdy jeans that I originally bought for riding my motorcycle, but they are so comfortable that I use them for general wear. There is extra material in the thighs and knees of the "Double Front Loggers," giving them a chaps look, but not in an ostentatious way. They look good and wear nicely. As far as sizing goes, I found that they run a bit tight in the waist so a size up might be recommended. I am a difficult to find 31L, but the 30L was just about right for me. The 32Ls are too long. If you are in between length sizes, I'd advise going down a size. This is my third pair. They are my go-to jeans. I will definitely buy more.

Carhart's are what I wear when I am off duty. I have a pair of double knee dungarees Carharts that is about 18 years old. They are not pretty anymore.. They my saved my leg a long time ago while cutting a tree down. The chainsaw kicked up and hit my leg. The front layer was cut. The second layer was not. I will never get read of that pair. The pants are so old they are almost white. They are stained and have enormous about of character, if you know what I mean. I Love Carhart. I Love the pockets. Easy to get my big hands in and out of, side pockets are great for anything that fits inside. I believe Carhart needs a web site to search for the oldest pair still in existence and they should be place in the Smithsonian. I have about ten pair of Carharts. I LOVE EM. Want wear anything else for outside work, farm, ranch, yard, fishing, hunting, cutting trees, digging ditches, building houses what ever your doing. They look good to for the first ten years. I could make some TV ads for Carhart. Can You tell I am a Carhart guy? I am 50 years old and Love em.

Deb's husband As far as the fit, it only runs slightly big, but a belt helps make up for that. Also being a little big allows for more layering. The material is thick and looks to be reinforced, but still comfortable to wear. I usually wear holes in the rear and the double front of pants on my regular Carhartt pants in about 6-9 months but this pair only shows slight wear in more than twice the amount of time. Also I have noticed that it drys out fairly quickly after getting soaked. These pants have plenty of pockets! The front pockets are deep, on the right side there is a reinforced patch for hooking you tape measure without wearing out the seam (I don't know if there is a lefty version). The back pockets are wide mouth. Left side has the normal loop. One of the reasons these pants caught my attention was it had large pockets At the time I didn't know how big as I had recently acquired an iPhone 6+, it has lots of pluses about it (pun intended) except where do you put this monster of a phone. So when I received the pants, I am happy to report that not only were the pockets big enough for an iPhone 6+ with bulky case, both pockets will accommodate a bare iPad mini, but the right would accept one with a slim case. On the face of those two large pockets are more pockets for you Pens, pencils, lumber crayons and/or other small tools. I bought an additional pair after I saw how the first pair went. Work framing construction. Size is a good fit for a 38x36. Waist is tight but does break down eventually making it comfortable. I love the double thigh and knees also because just having an extra layer of denim is comfortable enough for me to not put on knee pads and work. Dislike is that the crotch wears and tears so fast. Simple fix but annoying after 4 months of heavy usage. Also why can’t they make a pair of construction pants that have tough fabric where your tool belt pockets rub against ur pants. They don’t wear through but pants look stringy. Other than that pants are good and durable.

Get the Knee pad inserts. Bought my first pair 3 years ago, rotating with 3 other pairs, I got good life out of them in a welding environment. Biggest weak point is a product of hang the tape measure on the pocket instead of the belt, which wears out the edge much faster. Another brand has addressed this issue by adding a bit of leather. The best update with these pants is enlarging the opening at the bottom of the double knees to make insertion of the padding much easier. The knee pads dry in the dryer at the same rate as the rest of the pants. These pants beat wearing knee pads with straps and allow entry into tight areas unlike bibs (overalls)

I used to buy the regular Carhartt jeans they were ok but my husband went through a lot of them. My husband and brother both work construction and tear through jeans like paper. I am not a great seamstress and even if I was by the time I could get one pair patched up anther one would need repair. By the time all is said and done these are worth the extra money. They still show the wear and tear but only one of them has a serious hole that I am going to have to take a needle and thread to. The fit was a bit difficult to nail down we sent a few back without any hassle. Once we had the right size after a couple tries its been smooth sailing. My husband had gone down a size right about the time we decided to change jean style so it kinda threw things off but it was nice to know that returns were so easy.

Do NOT buy under any circumstances. I purchased these some time back and just today I started wearing them, so basically brand new. I've been wearing Carhartt for years and these were tissue paper. Fit well enough, not tight, comfortable. The rip in the pic happened five hours into my shift. Please don't waste your money. They DO have a different weave and feel to the fabric. Not heavyweight. Try Wrangler Riggs Workwear work utility pants instead. They are tougher and also have a double front design. Less expensive, too. Bye, bye Carhartt...

Way to straight leg and I could almost fit both my legs into one leg of these pants. I am a very tall person with a large waist each leg is like they sewed half the waist size for each leg. If I had thunder thighs these might have worked but nope unfortunately non returnable so to the goodwill they went. I do know the quality of Carhart has went down drastically since they started to cater to the hipsters who never would use the clothing as intended. I really wish they still made a real loggers jean with bachelor buttons on them for suspenders but I guess it’s not a hipster thing.

Great wash on pants , both waist and length true to size , note these are very baggy as seen on body.

Good quality denim and well made. However, had to loose a star due to the fact that the sizing is VERY generous!
