Wonderful
We've been sleeping on a king bed thanks to this product for a few nights now, and it's the most comfortable thing in the world. It lost a star because of price, and because of a "feature" that I like but other's might not... it creates a bit of a bump in the middle of the bed. It's infinitely better than the hole it would be otherwise, but it does stay a bit raised along the line where the plush bit goes. (I like it because it marks my half... I toss and turn a lot and need a reminder!)Also, it's made of sheepskin, which loses another star. The strap around the bed really is what makes this product worth more than the competitors' that lack it.

Good quality set, but doesn't work with our bed
I bought this because we have two twin size mattresses on a king size base, and we worried a bit about the dogs injuring a leg if they got between the mattresses just the wrong way. This seems like a nice quality set that would work OK with standard mattresses, but it doesn't work that well with our bed because his side is a Sleep Number and my side is a Purple mattress (firm foam with a 2" thick soft latex-like grid on top) so the corners aren't at all sturdy and rigid like on a regular mattress. So the strap that goes around both mattresses is forever squishing the corners of mine and working its way up and off after only a night or two. Have to keep taking the sheets off to get the strap and center piece rearranged.

Small complaint
It would have been great IF all the parts were in the package. I did purchase in February of 2015 but was moving and I knew it wouldn't be used until I was in new home. I put everything together in October of 2015. It has a nice plush sheepskin and belts to hold all in place. I never had a filler for my bed. Very disppointed as I expected the unopened package to be all-inclusive. As I had to wait 6 months I do not have a recourse but to complain.

Suggest an extra strap on the box springs...and bolt or lash the frames together...but works just fine
This works just fine. We first attached the two bed frames together using some bolts and wing nuts at head of the bed and had to use a web strap to lash it together at the foot end.... it is important that your first make sure the frames don't separate. (I think you could use "zip ties" from the electrical department depending on how your frame is arranged. The we put on the box springs and we had bought an extra strap (from Amazon) and we wrapped this strap around the box springs. Worked OK, the strap digs into the box springs at the corners so we had to move the straps up towards the top of the box spring to avoid squishing the box springs corners. The we put on the mattresses, which are new and pretty thick. Then we put the fabric tube of "filler" in the crack between the beds and smashed it down some. Then we put the fleece thing on top of the filler tube and the Velcro grabbed hold. Finally we put the strap that comes with the kit around the mattresses..you have to thread the strap thru the ends of the fleece thing...and tighten up the strap around the mattresses...again...the mattresses on the corners are dented where the strap goes around. The tighter you pull it...the bigger the dent..so you are not going to get this absolutely perfectly tight. We put two nice mattress pads one the beds, (one old and one new), the king sheets we had fit just fine...and this seems to work. It's not perfect...but its quite good. No one is going to be fooled that it's a "real" king bed mattress in one piece.....but it will be just fine and no one has complained. I do suggest going to the extra trouble I described here, including buying an extra strap, to make sure it doesn't shift around.

Does the trick!
I purchased this for our condominium in Florida where my elderly mother (89) holds tight to the belief that twin beds are desirable. While not wishing to cause for disagreement and trouble, this device proved to be a very handy solution to bring the two extra long twin beds together to make a comfy king size bed.I wrapped the two mattress up (btw I'm a 60 year old woman and I could do this myself) as the instructions show. I additionally used telephone wire and tied the two bed frames together to add to the support. As other persons have commented the sheepskin that goes down the center is a little on the bulky/bulging side, but I'd rather have that bit of a bump than the hard edging that exists on the mattresses. It does not bother me at all and if you do what I did - put a topper on - that will mitigate any problem. I put a nice 3" bed topper on the mattresses; new king size mattress pad (also from Amazon); sheets and voila! GREAT king sized bed was created. It is just as, if not more, comfortable than my bed at home.Does it matter that after I did all of this my mother suggested that I just buy a new mattress for the bed? lol No need to do so since the twin mattresses were essentially brand new. This is a great solution which if you actually do find a need -- you can simply remove everything and you are back to twin beds. I recommend the product.

Doesn't work on bunk beds
This product seems like it would work fine for most twin beds, it just didn't work for ours. They're a pair of bunk beds so there is a slight height differential when they are unbunked and a much larger gap between the mattresses. This product helped a little, but the gap is just too big for the foam strip to do much. We ended up putting two large cardboard poster cylinders in the gap and resting the foam strip across that, which helped it from falling between the beds.

Lumpy and Expensive
Ok, not as expensive as a new bed, but I expected more from this product. It';s easy to use and it is better than having a crack if you push two beds together. However, I was hoping it would be more "plush" and it would work more seamlessly. Maybe it's because I have two pillowtop mattresses but I can feel the doubler under the sheets as well as the crack itself (though only faintly)

The center piece is not shaped like a "T" but rather an "O" so it does ...
Overpriced and just ok. You would have to buy a mattress pad several inches thick to cover up the bump in the middle. The center piece is not shaped like a "T" but rather an "O" so it does not slide down between the two mattresses but simply lays in between and then the other piece Velcros on top of it. I am not going to return it, but I wouldn't buy it again.
