Don't know about other Gens as I haven't worked on those controllers.Also, if your spring is still there (Gen 1), they're interchangeable so it doesn't matter.Trigger was replaced and I also replaced two thumbsticks on separate controllers. Beautiful.I used the thumbstick covers on both OEM and new thumbsticks and they fit perfectly on either, despite what other people say.The easiest way to put the covers on is to flip the lips inside out, place it over thumbstick, and then let it snap over onto place. It even came with 2 anoalog stick with special grips. Be aware the grips will only fit on the sticks they provide not the ones on your original analog sticks. It's simple to put . Thank to the almighty youtube. You will need small philips head screw drivers 1/8 th inch screwer works perfect.
