This kit is perfect. Before I mounted my TV, my daughter who is 21 months old loved getting as close to the tv as possible and even touching it to point out what was on it and it just irked me. I didn't like telling her no or punishing her for it, so I knew something had to be done. Thus, my project began. So when I decided to mount my TV, I knew I didn't want to pay an electrician to move my AC outlet, because I knew these extensions existed and didn't break building code (in Layman's terms, it won't void your homeowner's insurance whereas running a power cord from your TV behind your wall to your outlet will). This thing was a breeze to install, directions were very simple and detailed. I was able to run 4 cords behind my wall through the holes of the wall plate. Although the HDMI cables were a little difficult to get through the hold on bottom half, they fit. Once I got my Television mounted and everything was plugged in, I pushed the power button on my TV and it turned on, but there was nothing on the screen. There was still a back light, but no menus were coming up on the screen, no volume indicator, no input selection, just a black screen. Doing a little bit of research it seems the power inverter on my television is out now. I'm not too worried as my TV is under warranty and since I cannot prove whether it was this kit that caused the problem, I will still give it 5 stars as I wait for the parts to come in and the technician to come out in order to repair the television. If I have any problems after the TV is repaired, I'll change my review appropriately. Until then, this seems to be a solid product. ______________________________________________________________________________ Update 03/09/2015 Due to parts being back ordered, I ended up getting my TV replaced. I put it on the wall, plugged it in, and it works like a champ leading me to believe that this product was not the cause of the first TV's issue. This in wall extension does the job and looks sleek.

Excellent. Perfect. Exactly what I was seeking for my LED TV install. I researched a lot of these type of in-wall power outlet/cable guides and this one was perfect for my needs. Everything you'll need for a professional install is included; templates (completely accurate) power wire, mounting wings, screws and easy to read/follow instructions. I ran 4 HDMI and 1 ethernet cable through the cable openings without any issues or cable snag. The fit at the power supply was a little tight but completely workable and reasonable. I have the power (lower) box plugged into a high quality surge protector which is connected to my TV and Fire Stick (both plugged into the outlets on the upper box). My install is completely clean and devoid of any visual cables/wires. If you're seeking a professional look with quality cable management, then this is the box for you. Your in-wall power is up to code with the Romex included and quick-connect power box. Very happy and satisfied with this product thus my glowing recommendations.

Works like a charm, I'm very pleased - very happy I chose the two outlet model. To the user who said the image shows a separate outlet box, I think if you actually look at the picture it is quite obvious this needs to be attached to the top cable box. I actually lost the instructions for installation, but it's so easy they're not necessary. One issue I had is that my walls are too thick for the top cable box with the outlet attached due to the angle at which it attaches. I was able to shave the interior of the wall at a 45 degree angle though and that allowed it to fit nice and snug. I also had a fireblock right between where I wanted to run cabling, so I had to open that up, run my cables and seal it again. Very easy - watch a video on YouTube if you have any concerns. Two negatives - the romex is nice, solid 14 gauge copper. It attaches to the bottom plate which uses braided copper - I prefer solid wires to braided any day, so was disappointed that they didn't use all solid wiring. The other negative - no wire nuts. What the hell? I bought some decent wire nuts at Home Depot but would have been happier if the kit included everything you needed in the box.

Cables were an eye sore that I finally decided to get rid of. I initially made the mistake of purchasing the other kit that doesn't have electrical. Hiding electrically cables is a bad idea as it could cause a fire behind the walls, also your insurer probably would have an issue with it. Then I purchased this kit. Easy to use and the template is spot on. The dry wall cutting could be done with a simple knife, but I used the drywall cutter and it made my life very easy. The electrical bit was great as they colour code everything. Pros: - Sleek and appeal visual design - Install was simple - Electrical setup for dummies Cons: - Minor if any, larger than expected

I installed it at my friend's house for them and it went smoothly. I would recommend that you cut small holes in both locations prior to cutting the template holes when you are going to install first to avoid issues in fishing the electrical wire. It my case there was a 2 inch ABS drain pipe behind where the lower plate was going to go so I had to relocate it and do some patching. The ABS pipe is not detectable by a stud finder. If I had cut two small one inch holes first, I would have spotted the pipe. Otherwise, the installation was easy and straight forward. This is an excellent solution for wire concealment.

The setup is clean with this product. The knly complain is the white cover for the electrical connection, I wasnt able to keep it and put the box flush to the wall, so I only put electrical tape to keep it safe. But overall it works great and can allow for a tv flush to the wall and no extension cord in the wall or visible cables.

I like the design, well built, allows for multiples cables. The only issue and it is not the product is that the wall I needed to install it on has 2x3 studs instead of the standard 2x4. I will install it using a piece of 1/2 plywood which will make the difference.

Nice little kit, easy to install, electrical is hard wired but really easy to work with and all wires labelled so if you aren't familiar with electrical it's really hard to mess it up. Cut 2 holes in drywall, hook up electrical connection between the two, pass your other wires and then screw the plates on (built with retaining clips that move into place behind the drywall as you tighten). It was really simple and easy to install. Bonus is you can plug the electrical into a surge protector so whatever you plug into the outlet will be protected.
