Essence of Bamboo The Original Down Alternative Pillow Jumbo Size 20" x 28"

I FELL IN LOVE THE FIRST TIME I EVER LAID MY HEAD ON ONE OF THESE TOOK THE PILLOWCASE OFF TO SEE THE BRAND AND THEN ORDERED ME 2 OF THEM!!

The pillow is ok... nice to lounge on. It is pretty soft. The outer material is also soft to the touch. The pillow retains its shape really well.I have had this pillow for months now and I sort of like it. I had to stop sleeping on it and go back to the pillow I was trying to replace since this one started giving me really nasty neck pain... but I have neck issues... finding a comfortable pillow is a bit of a challenge for me. I was hoping this one would work for me since I do know other people who use these and love them... nope.My husband had the second pillow but he, too, switched back to his old pillow because this pillow is too thick for him and he just couldn't get comfortable on it... especially if he was on his stomach or side.As far as the description goes - this is NOT a "jumbo" pillow. It is a standard size pillow. With a standard amount of filling. The filling does not compress much though... so if you buy it hoping it will get flatter over time, it really hasn't done that for me.... but it is not overstuffed with filling. The description makes this pillow sound HUGE or Cal King size... it is not. Standard regular normal pillow. The dimensions listed are also standard size pillow dimensions and the pillows I got were standard size pillows... so it bothers me that they claim these are "jumbo" in any capacity. Just had to point that out.I think next time I will try to find a down alternative pillow. This pillow seems to me that it would be great for a guest room... for non-regular use by someone... or a backup pillow... It just didnt work for me to my everyday pillow.

I had thought this would be the same pillow I had purchased a few years ago, so was very excited, as it was my absolute favorite!! It was 50% foam/ 50% polyester fill, and this one was not. I should’ve looked closer when ordering. Still ok as my husband is using it, but would LOVE for the other to come back. It was great for neck issues.

The jumbo size I would say is comparable to a fluffy queen size. If you are thinking a king size its not.Before I bought this I read through the reviews. Its not for everyone. I am with the group that feels it's very comfortable, soft but it feels better to me with a firm pillow underneath it. This is same with most pillows I buy. I love soft and fluffy but I still need something firm under me. For people like me this pillow is perfect for this use!

This is probably the softest, lightest pillow you will lay your head-on. It will take some getting used to the softness of the pillow because it will feel like your head is sleeping on a piece of cloth filled with clouds. This is good and bad for some people, some say it may be a little too soft because there is very little firmness to it, but after about a week It felt completely natural to me.If you do purchase this pillow I recommend that you also buy a second firmer pillow to put under it, along with some type of fabric freshener. Since I tend to sweat at night my pillow easily started to smell a bit.I can't really say whether it helps with neck pain because I never really had neck pain.

I bought these because I used to buy them in a local Shopko store (same brand). I loved the ones I had bought in the past and wanted some for a spare bedroom. Unfortunately these are not as soft as my previously purchased ones. They are pretty thick and not a lot of give in them. If you want a more substantial pillow, this is probably for you but if you are looking for a softer pillow, probably not.

Don't have very good luck with pillows, but I think I've found one at last. I've been using it every night for a month, which is unheard of. I have several pillows I usually swap out every 2 or 3 days, a week at the most. They are either to flat, to fat, to soft, to firm. Feel like they are smothering me, make my neck or shoulder hurt, give me a headache, something. But this one is soft without sinking into it, not to firm. Looks fat but it isn't. Might not last but it's the best I've had in at least 5 years. I'm planning on ordering at least one more, maybe 2 if my husband decides he wants one.
