Washed up well in my washing machine.
After reading the other reviews of this rug, I held off posting a review until after I'd washed this bathroom rug. When it first arrived I liked it. It's soft, the rubberized non-skid backing works fairly well, and I liked the color. When I washed it, I washed it in cold water, on the gentle cycle, with only the smaller version of this rug in with it...no other items. It came out of the machine with a small amount of the rug material separated from the rug and matted to the rug. It was a very small amount, and I've seen this behavior before with rugs of a similar material & style. I'd say it was maybe a cubic inch of material. There was no rug material stuck to the sides of the washer. To me, this was good performance for the rug in the washer. I plucked off the separated material from the rug and air-dried it using a white plastic-coated, folding steel drying rack I bought at Home Depot (love 'em - they really come in handy. I have two of them & I've used them for 10 years. They're still in great shape!).The rugs dried in about half a day, indoors, on the drying rack, in winter (I keep my thermostat set to 65 degrees or lower in winter). The air-dried rugs were fluffy and soft as when they arrived. I had thought when I air-dried them that I might throw them in the dryer on the fluff cycle. There was no need for that.Bottom line is I'm happy with this rug and its small companion. They are soft, absorbent, wash up well, air-dry reasonably quickly, and look nice.

Decent, but not impressive
This is not a bad rug, but it's not particularly impressive either. On the plus side it is very soft underfoot - like walking on cotton balls. It also absorbs a decent amount of water, dries quickly, and the non-slip backing is effective. On the down side, it's very thin. While soft, there's very little cushion to the pile. The threads are pretty easy to pull out, so you have to be careful when vacuuming it to avoid snags and pulls. That's a problem since it attracts dirt and needs to be cleaned regularly.I was able to get it from Amazon Warehouse for a great price (under seven bucks) for the largest size and, at that price, it's an OK deal. I do not think it's worth the full price - you can get a much better, thicker rug at that price point. The care instructions recommend washing in cold water separately, and line drying. I got the white version, and it's a very, very bright white. That's both good and bad - looks great when it's clean, but it picks up noticeable dirt very quickly. If you can get it on a deal, go for it. At full price I can't really recommend it.

Overall disappointed
I ordered this rug for our guest bathroom. I'm kind of disappointed in it. It is a nice quality, I have washed it many times and it hasn't fallen apart. It's a nice size and doesn't slide around on my bathroom floor. It looks like it should be soft, but unfortunately that's not the case. It's not uncomfortable to stand on, but it is not as soft as what I was expecting. When you call something a "spa rug", most people assume it's going to have a luxurious feel. The color is also duller than it appears in the picture. It looks kind of dingy and gets dirty very easily. The rug fibers also get matted down almost immediately so it seems that no matter how often I wash it, it never looks clean and overall it's thinner than I thought it would be.I am keeping the rug, but probably wouldn't buy it again. If it were the color it appears to be online, were softer, and didn't look so dingy so fast, I would have been much happier.

InterDesign Microfiber Spa Bath Rug, 34 x 21-Inch
I was pleasanyly surprised this much better than the reviews. I needed a good utility rug for laudry area sink. This rug as good yet better, due it does not shed on delicate in 2014 Whirpool He 5 Cycle washer as the highly rated TruSoft By STAINMASTER Luxurious Bath Rug, 21-By-36 Inch did. Now both must be lined dried, but I have a mesh of fuzz I had to clean out of washer from the TruSoft rug. I bought this May 23rd, 2015. It has done well with light vaccum till now. Dirty boots & shoes do not vaccum out easily as most all carpets/rugs. I guess resolve the Trusoft, it in bath.

Smaller than expected
This rug is a bit smaller than the 34' x 21" that is advertised. I measured it as soon as I unpacked it because it looked small. It is apx. 31" x 18.5". I think it looks so small in my bathroom because I previously had 2 rugs in there. Should have ordered the larger one. No bargain at a price of just over $20 based on small size. That being said it is serving me well as a bath mat. My son tends to drip water all over the rug directly outside the tub when he gets out of the shower and this rug has proven to be quite absorbent. I've only had it a week and half so not sure yet how it will hold up in the long run. The previous rugs had to go when they began shedding constantly and the fibers were being tracked into the hallway.

nice size, looks nice
nice size, looks nice, but impossible to vacuum! NO vacuum will pick anything up off this mat. I have to shake it outside then wrap my hand in packing tape and pat it down!

Nice mat
Very nice mat. A little larger would have been better I think.Weird thing, Amamzon sent this mat in a box the same dimensions to it. It was laying flat on the bottom of this huge box. All I had extra in the box was a back cover for my smartphone. The rest was packing paper and yes lots of it. What a waste of freight cost and a tree! Amazon paid the shipping thank god!
