Great Switch
I've been using TrendNet switches for a couple of years now. The new 10G switch is replacing a 2.5G switch in my office, I'm trying to future proof my setup. Immediately I could tell that throughput was faster and I measured ~30-40% throughput difference between the old and new switch. It does run a little hotter than the old switch but not that I can't touch it and not bad for being fanless. I also ran benchmarks on my machine and overall throughput and CPU is less. Super easy to set up, just plug it in and Cat cables I'm using Cat 8) and you're rolling. I plan on buy another to replace a 2.5G in my main entertainment setup. Update: I replaced my 2.5G switch in my main entertainment setup and plugged in the Roku, AppleTV and MoCA, works great. Something weird, I could not get the Roku box working with the 2.5G switch, no matter how hard I tried. Worked first shot with this switch. Very happy with the performance and quality of the hardware.

TRENDnet is fantastic and affordable
Well, I have this running none stop 24/7 for the past week without any issues. Doesn't get too hot and considering now to buy 2 more. I have CAT 5E 350mhz (Honeywell) cables in the house that works at 10gb all day without any issues. I'm not sure how people saying they are failing. There are not many cheap 10gb switches available and these are TAA & NDAA compliant. Not even Netgear meets both requirements and are nearly 3 times the price. Call me lucky, but I think lifetime warranty is a hard bargain to pass up on when they have been rock solid for over 2 weeks. I figured, if it was going to fail, it would do that within 72 hours.

Overheats and causes disconnects
EDIT: The device is now overheating all the time even with nothing on or around it. This causes disconnects and dropped connections on all devices connected to it. Bad design, do not buy. ORIGINAL REVIEW: This is one of only a few 10Gb desktop switches on the market right now. It works well and provides full 10Gb throughput when pushed at that limit. The only downside is that it can overheat if you put anything on top of it and then it shuts down briefly and you lose connectivity. The device is recommended as long you keep the top clear.

Early adopter tax
This is an unmanaged 10G switch. It should be dirt cheap, but ... being early adopters and building a 10G (or bigger) infrastructure costs money. The switch itself is flawless and works as advertised. There's not much more to say that the specs don't already state. I'd imagine 10G switching will get cheaper as the years go on.

NASA Training Facility, AKA My Living Room
Five stars are fairy dust, one star is therapy. Hereโs the actual story. Hardwired the PS5, a mountain of streamers, Smart TVโs, and Eero pro 7 backhaul, this thing is running my home like Houston Mission Control. Four stars because while itโs flawless, I keep waiting for someone to knock on my door and ask why Iโm running a server farm in my living room.

I'm loving these little switches!
I really appreciate the fact that the power port is on the same side as the NIC ports. I use these in my home lab and not in a computer cabinet/rack so simple easy access is great for my needs. I also like the fact that these use the external AC/DC power adapter to keep the heat out of the metal chassis. These units are fan-less and the operate absolutely noiseless. The 10gb unit get a bit warm, but it not uncomfortable. I have also purchased the TrendNet 10/2.5gb 6 port switch and its characteristics are identical. I'm upgrading my home lab to 2.5gb and 10gb wherever possible and these TrendNet switches have become my go-to networking product of choice. I've purchased a few TrendNet products over the years and they have always been reliable. I hope these units continue to deliver for many years to come.

Not compatible with multiple wired Eeros
The built-in loop detection on this router is not compatible with multiple wired Eeros; it will disable each network ports with an Eero plugged into them at any time, due to detecting a momentary 'network loop' and killing the port before the Eeros can finish switching from wireless to wired backhaul. Use the S350 instead.

Good 5 Port 10Gig Switch
Since implementing this 10Gig switch into my 10Gig LAN it has worked great. Started 508MB pings at implementation and no loss. TRENDnet website states to only use cat6a, but specs for cat6 state it should work for under 150 feet. I went with cat6a since there is not a big difference in price and TRENDnet recommendation is to use cat6a. Gets a bit warm but expected for a five port 10Gig switch but itโs not bad. It is an American company and the switch is well built and has a good quality feel to it. Currently using three (all 10Gig connections) of the five ports. Works good so far.

Product ok, despite it heats a bit.
Would gain to be mounted vertically, i.e. in an IKEA napkin holder so as bottom to top air flow can better cool. Even in promotion, it is too expansive.

10G that is quiet
It works well with my 10G network and it is QUIET. Most 10G switches sound like a figher jet on steroids but this doesn't. Gets a little warm, but not extreme. I can sit beside it and not hear it. Wonderful.

good value, works well, recommended
quick ship, well packed, item is good solid build quality, and this is an affordable way to get some 10 gig networking setup for a modest requirement (small LAN / modest server network). Set up yesterday and it was all just plug-and-play. things seem to all work as expected. note there is no rack ear in the kit, this is intended as a 'desk top switch' but that is part of the deal. all good. recommended.
