Can't use it for e-mail
The unit was in fine condition. I bought it to replace my wife's older mailstation which has a bad keyboard.When I attempted to use it Earthlink said they could not reconfigure it since it had previously been configured when it was originally used and cannot be done over, the internal electronics are not re-programmable.Sooo, I will donate it to someone who has ALS or a stroke so they can use it to communicate when they can't talk.The seller should make buyers aware that these units are not re-programmable and so are of no use as e-mail machines.

Beware Earthlink will not provide service. No one else can activate these devices.
Earthlink information about Mailstation devices from EarthLink's website."Please note that EarthLink previously discontinued the sale and provisioning of new MailStation devices and service. Therefore, EarthLink cannot establish Mailstation service for new customers, including those who may have purchased a previously-owned Mailstation device (such as models Mivo 100, Mivo 150, Mivo 200, Mivo 250 and Mivo 350) from a third party. Additionally, EarthLink cannot supply replacement Mailstation devices for existing Mailstation service and cannot transfer existing Mailstation service to a previously-owned or "replacement" Mailstation device purchased from a third party."I have owned one of these devices for 12 years. It worked great. I unplugged it and put it away while I repainted my house. Now I have tried for over 3 months to send an email. My efforts fail. All the Access Numbers are not working. I am not sure these devices will connect to the server but because Earthlink Tech cannot service them, I cannot find out why. All Tech can do is provide new numbers and they are not working either. I had to set up Internet service on a computer so I could read my account with Earthlink. Wasted Money. Earthlink refuses to refund my $9.95 per month payments. Lousy Customer Service. Most of the personnel were OK but Supervisors lack manners. I received one too many lectures.

DIDNT KNOW THAT THE MAILSTATION COULD NO LONGER BE USED BY THE COMPANY,,,WHO DELETED THESE MACHINES,,,I GAVE IT TO THE GRANDKIDS TO PLAY WITH,,,

It still works in 2020.
I don't know why everyone is giving this product so few stars...I bought it new in the box the other day and finally got a chance to sit down and set it up. Finding a free dial-up provider was the hardest part. Setting up the machine took less than 15 minutes.

Wrong purchase
I purchased a mail station, and have found you can no longer get Earth Link to be able to use this product.

Great little device!
My mom had the 150 for 3 years until we bought her an iMac. Now she misses the Mailstation! It's that easy to use-- and perfect for a senior or non-tech person who wants in on the action. The simplicity of the interface is it's greatest asset. We can now send her color photos (on her iMac), but she usually can't find them anyway. So we get more "tech support" calls from mom than we did with this unit. We never got questions on the Mailstation once we'd set it up and showed it to her.

Don't buy this!!!! They are no longer registering new machines. Was going to get this for my mom, but.....
