This product was just what I wanted. I had my bangs botched and needed something to keep them down without having to use a Bobbie pin. I was able to have them down and sweep them to the side and stay that way. “Cockatoo feathers” eliminated. The hold tamed down my bangs but flexible enough that they weren’t stiff. Although if you want a solid rock hard hold you just have to a more product. The hold last all day, no film or visible residue, not sticky or tacky and smells wonderful.

If your hair needs a little lift, this product is for you. Amazing in its light hold, it does not leave your hair sticky. It will give your hair the look you are after with its hold and style. It's great for standing your hair up or sticking it back. It delivers what it says it will and more.

Great for pixie cuts. Delivery was fast, the size was as advertise and works very well for my short pixie haircut. Not too greasy, holds well and the smell is to die for. Definitely putting this on repeat order. Great value and does its job well.

I decided to try out a different hair styling product. I typically use the Dove molding paste, but this caught my eye. It has a very nice and light scent, and it has a pretty nice hold. It is much more of a lotion than the Dove product I use, and I think this has a different hold and texture purpose, but it's good none the less. I will stick with my Dove for my everyday go-to, but I like having this one for a fallback in case I just feel like using something different for whatever reason.

I’ve been using this product the last 20 years. When it first came out the paste was thick and the hold was strong. Back in the 2000’s I would sort of spike my hair up with this and it would hold em up just fine. Today, the paste is creamier, lighter and thinner. No shot at holding up spikes anymore. But that’s fine with me cause those bad boy days of spiky hair is thankfully over. I just comb it over with a part now. And because Surf Hair is lighter and creamier now, I can comb it through my hair. Before, that would be difficult. So now, I mix it with another product that has stronger hold and I’m still getting that same matte beachy texture with the hold I want. Scent has always been good, light and citrusy.

I recently got a pixie cut and wanted to try a matte hair pomade. Upon opening the container I was hit in the face with a huge amount of fragrance. Like, 'your mom who can't smell well put on perfume' amount of fragrance. Would probably be nice if subtle, but way stronger than necessary IMO. I felt like I had to use a fair amount of product to get the hold and style I wanted to achieve, but for the price not bad. Slightly sticky when applying but easily applied, dries soft and matte, and seems to hold well. Just a few hours after applying my eyes were red and watery though. Despite a shower that evening and following morning, and allergy pill both days, it took 2 days before I was back to normal. Overall, the actual hair results were decent but obviously the overwhelming smell and allergic reaction make this an automatic no for me. Luckily I ordered Pacinos at the same time just to have a second option, and so far that's been working very well for me. Sadly this product just isn't right for me, but I'm sure it's a decent option for some.

Never thought this 80 y.o. lady would be going for "surfer" hair, but my beautician recommended a product of this nature. I am able to style my medium short hair without curlers or blow drying. I just shampoo and towel dry as usual, then comb through a light spray-in conditioner followed by a little more towel drying. Then, using my fingers only, I do an initial styling. As I let my hair air dry, I do finger styling every now and then to lift and separate. When my hair is completely or almost dry, I put a dab of Surfer Hair into my palm and then rub my hands together to soften and disperse the product around my palms and fingers, Then its time to do the final hair styling by finger combing the Surfer product through my hair. Its better to work with small amounts and do a second application if more product is needed rather than use too much. Your experience will be your guide. Surf's Up! p.s. i thought garnier had stopped making this so was happy when I found it on Amazon. Let's be honest though still a rip-off what they charge for this. Still my fav hair cream so will keep buying. Shapes my hair well without feeling too greasy. Get it while you can.

I have been using Surf Hair for 20 years then in the UK so some strange reason the shops stopped selling it. Tried other products but just greasy and did not hold the style. Great to see it back and have enough to last me a couple of years
