Q: I have had issues with some of the plastic breaking on heavy duty chairs. Does this chair have that problem?

Not yet. I bought 4 of these for events and I'm really impressed with their ruggedness but I have not had 800 pound people sitting in them. That weight limit is the reason why I bought these chairs but the height of the seat above the ground and the width are great too. I've only had people weighing 180 lbs. or less, sitting in the chairs. I really love them and I even put some cushions and pillows on them and it makes them higher for us tall people so they are easier to get off of them. Other camp chairs feel as if you're sitting in a hole. These taller chairs don't feel that way but the cushions make it higher and very comfy to boot! I will be buying more of them as needed, but these are pretty rugged and sturdy, so it will be a while I think before I will need to buy more.

Q: What is the actual width of the front part of the seat? My husband has problems with his legs hitting the bars at the front.

Not sure of width but my husband can not have a bar under his legs this chair does not have it .. He really likes it says its very comfy.. great chair for larger men Meaning tall and husky !!!

Q: Do this items hug your hips too tight?

No - not me anyway. It's as comfortable as my office chair which is about 20" between arms. I've never even felt a tightness anywhere on my body while sitting is this chair. 5'11' 285#

Q: When it says you "guarantee it," does that mean theres a lifetime guarantee from breakage from normal use? What does that guarantee mean?

Not sure what you mean. In my case mine broke at the bottom leg and they've instructed me to remove all the labeling and mail it to them and I will receive a new chair. Mine broke after about 3or 4 years of almost daily use.
