These are indeed Facing Heaven peppers. They have a great mild heat and add wonderful fragrance to dishes. Another reviewer said these were either Arbol or Japones peppers, but these are much more mild than either of those. It may also be worth noting that these peppers are shaped differently than Arbols or Japones, with these peppers being much wider at the shoulder than either Arbol (by far) or Japones.Until recently it was almost impossible to find Facing Heaven peppers in North America. After falling in love with Sichuan food while working in China, I scoured international stores in St. Louis, Chicago, and Los Angeles, until finally finding a dusty bag of them in Toronto. These peppers are much fresher than those were. I am purchasing them for a second time now.

Should have looked at the image more closely. These are not facing heaven chiles, which are bigger in radius and squatter. These are likely the much more common tien tsin. Completely mis-represented product.
