It came rolled up but once removed from packaging, it took around 30 to 60 minutes to fill out. It looks exactly as advertised and I like that the case is washable, which I recommend you do before first use (note: pillowcase only is washable). The smell is very minimal and nothing offensive. I like that there are two heights and that it’s made for the 3 positions that most of us sleep in. Myself, I sleep on my sides and this was perfect. Since using I have not woke up to any neck or shoulder pain which is great as this was the reason why I needed to change my previous pillows, so I can say that this has worked for me. I also appreciate that the pillowcase stays cool, even when I’m hot! I would definitely recommend you try this pillow first before spending 2 to 3 times more on other brands. The only reason I have given this 4 stars instead of 5 is due to not knowing the longevity of it.
