The Mark!Set!Go! Silver Fingerboard Tapes were developed by Pearl Jones so both teachers and students can have a convenient way to mark finger positions on their instrument. No longer search for scissors. These silver precut glossy strips easily lift off and no time is wasted trying to remove their backing. These silver colored tapes are 2" long by 3/16th" wide and fit all sizes of violins and violas and there's enough for 6 instruments. Precut felt adhesive squares are included. The squares can be used to mark thumb position placements as well, if desired.

These tapes really work
They make your instrument look like learners as all tapes do, but these look more professional. I play a lot and the tapes only wear out after like six months of pretty intense play. Great tapes.

Worthwhile
I believe this was designed for a teacher who may use this for many students. There are more than enough strips for one player. I only used one strip to help me identify 5th position and for my purposes, this was a worthwhile purchase and the price very reasonable!!!I did not use the felt as another reviewer advised it may remove the finish from your instrument.

Works great!
I recently started playing fiddle, after playing various fretted instruments for years, and I just couldn't stand bad intonation any longer, so I ordered a set of these tapes. In short, they work exactly as violin tapes should; I've been using them about a month now, and they haven't started to wear or fade as I thought they might. Bonus feature: you get enough tapes to last you your entire life should you, for some reason, not want to brave the world of unmarked fingerboards.

Time saver for string teachers!
I use this as a guide to finger placement for my violin and viola students. The black felt is for thumb placement. Both items make it easier for me as I don't have to cut thin pieces of tape from a big roll.

These were perfect for my fiddles & violas. The thumb markers for the back of the neck I didn't need,however this one package works for all 4 instruments.
