I have paid more than twice the price for this same quality of carving tools in the past. This is a really good set to start out with, especially if you aren't used to carving things, you'll feel more confident about not having accidents or getting hurt! The handles are made of strong plastic, and the metal toothed scraper works better than cheap plastic ones. Definitely recommend!

These felt good in your hands, easy to use, sharp but not dangerous if you are supervising kiddos. I had this big pumpkin carved scrapped and ready to go be for my four month old got sick of his high chair view of the event. I can easily imagine getting to do some cooler stuff when he is older and the ease of using this set vs the memories I have of carving my last pumpkin 30+ years ago - so much easier than the big carving knife and scraper spoon and those sad cheap plastic tools at the store - leave them behind unless you hate yourself.

The knives seem really sturdy and did the job I wanted them to. They seem more suited to casual pumpkin carving than the hardcore pumpkin carving that I like to do lol as they were to thick to make small details.

Probably the best pumpkin carving set I ever owned. Not too expensive. PERFECT!
