My OEM hood strut decided to puke it's fluid one day and the OEM replacement was $149, yeah, nope. This fit perfectly and actually has more hold up force than the OEM when new. Caution though, if you have a aftermarket hood made from carbon fiber or fiberglass be warned this can damage them, you don't want to punch a hole in it.
