Purchased as an alternative to other Alaska or US based producers.My mother swears by Squalene as a health supplement. I got this to try it out, and because I have reached the age where I need to start taking care of myself better.I have tried several other brands, and I did notice that I liked this a bit better. I did not have any upset stomach reaction, or felt a fishy after taste.I cannot speak to the medical or supplemental effects of this, but I can say that it was a better alternative than other Chinese brands, or non-US brands.

It did raise WBCs on test, but it also raised liver enzymes AST/ALT on liver function test, indicating damage to the liver. All my previous LFTs (liver function test), were completely normal, taken only two weeks earlier (I take it every two week). Shark liver oil was the only change.
