Cheerwing Syma X20 Mini Drone RC Nano Quadcopter with Auto Hovering 3D Flip

I love it! It’s easy to control and fly. You can fly it with one hand. It handles itself good. The battery is built in and you do not get a spare and it does have a short battery life but it is okay if you compare it to the time it takes to charge. I usually charge mine for about 20-30 minutes and I could fly it about 5-6 mins . It is also not good for outdoors. It is a little drone and the wind easily blows it around which is okay because it is for inside use which is okay because it controls itself easily. you can control it with one hand as it hovering above the ground at the distance you chose. It has protectors on its wings so you can give it a few bumps. I like it a lot and I would recommend it to other people. It’s cheap enough but strong enough to give to children and/or people who would like to learn themselves to fly.

I purchased this because of the brand syma, as I've been happy with my x5c, and believe it's one of the best starter quadcopters. The quality is even better with the x20 in my opinion, and some of the new features are great. One of my favorites is the altitude hold, and the fact it will take off and hover by pressing 2 buttons together. I've only flown this indoors but the altitude hold actually is quite impressive and beat my expectations by a lot. The controller is very compact, the thumb sticks actually move parallel to the controller and don't pivot on center like most. That's a first if it's kind for me to use, and after a flight it feels normal. Flight time is good, built strong, looks good as well. If I had to say one negative, it's that the battery isn't removable, so you have to wait for it to recharge. But luckily it doesn't take to long to recharge and be ready for flight again. I highly recommend this to anyone that enjoys flying small quads, or to anyone that is interested in getting a small Quad. Happy flying everyone!

NOTE: The manual I received had incorrect instructions on charging the drone. The booklet said that the light would GO ON when it was completely charged, but I found a PDF version of the booklet that said it would GO OFF when it is charged. Thought I had a broken drone at first, but it works fine. Apparently it was fully charged out of the box. My first drone was the larger Syma X5C-1 but it couldn't practice indoors because it was too loud and scared the toddler. Finally decided I needed something small and quiet. I searched all kinds of reviews online and noticed people just having fun flying this little X20. ---------------------------------- Fine Tuning Is Important ---------------------------------- My first flight was kinda crazy. It was sliding this way and that and bumping into all sorts of things. In videos I watched guys would have it just floating in air. Then I read the fine-tuning instructions and was able to get it nice and steady. When you fine tune you hold the left button down and just quickly lip the right joystick in the direction you want to adjust. I was trying to "hold" the joystick and that didn't work. Just flip it once and let it come back to center. If you need more, flip it again. ---------------------------------- Charging ---------------------------------- Yes, I'd like a shorter charge time and a longer flight time, but that is the case with pretty much every drone on the market. I can appreciate the simplicity they are going for with this model and understand the reason for making the battery inaccessible, but I do wish that it wasn't that way so that you could do multi-battery charging in order to have more "fun" time. ---------------------------------- Summary ---------------------------------- Despite lacking clear instructions on charging (others were okay) and a having a concealed battery, I still think this drone is a great value in the price range. The important thing is the fun factor, and this will give you 5-6 minutes of fun. Once you fine-tune and get it balanced it is a blast and won't scare toddlers away. Would absolutely love to see a model with HD camera option

The X20 was my first drone, and it is the single most impressive toy I've ever played with. I've crashed it about 100 times and it hasn't broken. Plus it looks really cool. So many good things in such a small package! Here are some tips, so that you can have as much fun as me: 1. Create a perfectly level surface to launch it from, and calibrate the drone before launching. If the surface is not level by just 1 degree, it messes up the launch and the flight. THIS IS ABSOLUTELY KEY TO HAVING FUN WITH THIS DRONE! 2. AFTER launching it from a perfectly flat surface, adjust the trim. If the drone drifts right, trim to the left. If the drone drifts forward, trim backwards. Basically, trim to the opposite direction of the drift. 3. Learn to fly it outside before trying to fly it indoors. This will give you time to adjust the drone before it crashes into anything. Once get the hang of it outdoors, it is pretty easy to fly indoors.

I have bought 3 of these now and it is an absolutely wonderful toy. Agile, easy to control and rugged. Unfortunately the USB charging port is very delicate, 2 of the 3 are broken now. I'm going to hot glue the 3rd to see if it will help it hold up.

This thing is awesome. I recently purchased this as my first drone and was blown away. I love flying it outdoors and the thing absolutely has some speed. I loved the drone so much that I wanted to upgrade to a better one and bought myself the ryze Tello boost combo a couple weeks after purchasing this. I anticipated this drone going obsolete after the Tello arriving but it hasn’t. I still fly this outside everyday, multiple times a day. If there is one drawback it’s definitely the battery but I wouldn’t let that stop you from buying this. The package says recharge time is 70 minutes but It has not yet taken me longer then 40. If battery life is what you’re worried about just get a second one to fly while this one charges. At $30 just get it.

I purchased this for my son for Christmas. This is such a joy to fly and it performs remarkably well for such a small inexpensive aircraft. My son really enjoyed the short time he had with it. There is a major flaw in the design of the craft. The micro USB charging port is extremely fragile. I taught my son how to properly orient the plug in order to charge it, but the port bent inward and was not able to be fixed. I thought maybe this was just a fluke so I ordered another. The same exact thing happened. After my wife sent an email to the manufacturer with no reply, I decided it’s perhaps best not to make any more purchases from this company. As always, your mileage may vary, but this is a very easy to break product from a company that does little in the way of customer service.

This drone is quite possibly the best mini flyer in its class. It flies indoors so smoothly, I have yet to crash it after several flights. It flies as stable as a helicopter (I have 4 helicopters and this drone hovers like they do). All the features work flawlessly, and easily with the touch of a button. It maneuvers nimbly. If I could give it 6 stars, I would. It is an amazing little drone. With auto take-off and landing, a child could fly it easily. Unlike other drones, the throttle works to either raise of lower the altitude of the drone, not the speed of the motors. Although this may not appeal to some drone enthusiasts, I think its a great idea, specially for indoor flight. I have yet to hit my ceilings using this one. The controller uses sliders, rather than sticks - no problem for me - but they are a bit small and dont stick out very far from the face of the controller, which can get annoying at times. But overall, this drone is a spectacular leap forwards in design for indoor flying. For the price, it has the same features of more expensive, larger drones. A different model has a camera (and is more expensive). This one does not have a cam although it looks like it does. My only complaint is that the battery lasts about 5 minutes (a little shorter than my other mini drones), probably because its not crashing all the time indoors, and I assume the altitude sensor draws some milliamps that would otherwise be used for extending flight time in drones that do not auto-hover. I wish I could rate this drone higher.
