ONGUARD8020 Mastiff Integrated Key Chain Lock - 3.57' X 0.39"[110CM X 10MM] Black

been using an onguard U lock to protect my bike for over 12 years living in NYC, still hanging nice n strong. so i m confident in this brand. havent use a chain lock before but i heard its the second strongest right after ulock. let see how it goes. using this as a secondary lock + Ulock + alarm + waterproof raincoat to secure my scooter lolupdate:i realize there is a flaws to the intergrated lock with the chain, is they use roll-pins to connect as joint, which is a weak link in the chain, and vulnerable to attack. but 8020 seem to fix it and reinforce it with an extra layer of steel-collar about 3mm and have the roll pin covered up . so i have to deduct a point from this.

My bike has not been stolen yet. Who knows how many bike thieves passed on my bike, I’ll never know. This chain is heavy duty and appears to be good quality. I also like how the lock holds your key when it’s unlocked, until you insert the other end back in again. So your keys won’t fall to the ground while you’re wrapping the chain around your bike.

So heavy and intimidating. Looks vey hefty and it is. The key can be very tricky. This may sound strange but you will need to "know" the perfect way to insert the key because sometimes if you just jam it, the lock won't take the key.

This chain is great. It is super heavy so, since I am 5'5" female, I can't wear it over my shoulder when I am riding my bike, but the weight is a good thing since it makes it tough to cut through. I store it in my bike's saddlebag. I can even ride with it in a backpack. The reason I took off a star is because I often have a hard time getting the key out of the lock after locking up my bike. When I am running late, it is aggravating to have to fiddle with the key for a while before I can leave my bike after locking it up. So the key difficulties mean a lost star for this review. I don't know if other people have a problem with their keys sticking.The other thing that is annoying about this key is that its light (which is a sweet feature) is sometimes difficult to shut off. Sometimes I can see it glowing in the dark and realize it must have been like that since I came in hours ago. I have no idea how long the light will last at this rate. I have had this chain for a year so far.

This thing is very well built and it's over 7 lbs in total weight and not the 1.91 lbs as advertised. Not sure if it's worth keeping since carrying over 6 lbs of additional weight is excessive as I was also looking to use this for my bike and electric scooter.

I was happy with this lock - have used it since August 2020- I unlock and use my cargo bike about once a week. Then it inexplicably broke yesterday- the top just disconnected from the bottom and the key got stuck in it. Thankfully, it was unlocked when it got jammed and broke, otherwise I wouldn't be able to use my bike. This has to be a fluke bc I didn't see any other reviews about this happening, but I'd like a refund or replacement ASAP. Can someone tell me how to contact the seller? I love it. Right out of the box I knew this thing was the really deal. It's heavy duty, strong, and looks so intimidating to the point where thieves won't even get near your bike.Although I haven't run into the point where someone has in fact attempted to steal my bike yet thankfully, I went ahead and did a little stress test on it with a few pairs of bolt cutters and man is this thing strong, so strong to the point where it broke my walmart bolt cutters.This thing is just such a beast and if u want security go with this, it's honestly a bang for your buck in the scheme of things and it will truly be helpful in the long run.If you really are undecided about the price, just think 60-100$ depending on the size of the lock > 500$ + if your bike gets stolen.

I bought this for my son going off to college. I wanted a secure chain for his bike. I loved the chain. It seemed very well made and had plenty of keys. I really liked the idea that some of the keys were small enough to put on a jacket zipper or could fit easily on a keychain or in a pocket. The only reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars is that it was so heavy, my son felt it compromised his bike riding. Also, when we got to college, stealing bikes didn't seem like much of an issue, so his cheap cable lock was sufficient. If you are in a high crime area, this would be an excellent choice.

Great lock, very sturdy. The locking mechanism wouldn't work properly after a year, at first I thought the lock was defective but it just needed to be lubricated (either WD40 or White Lithium grease, whatever you have will fix the issue will work).So to anyone looking for a sturdy lock you wont regret this one...just keep it lubricated at least once every few months, or once a month would be better especially if you use the lock out doors often.

No niego que la calidad de los candados ON-GUARD son buenos, el problema es que Amazon ofrece como venta el mod. 8019, y lo que pagas y recibes, es una cosa totalmente distinta, lo que llega es el MASTIFF Mod. 8020, el cual ni fotos o mención hay en la publicación, Sobre advertencia no hay engaño.

Great price 1/2 price of any competitor

Excelente calidad de la marca OnGuard, sin embargo, no es el modelo que encargué. Y veo que no soy el único que que le pasó lo mismo. Por eso le pongo 4 estrellas nada más.

El candado es de muy buena calidad, pero pésimo que Amazon pone foto de otro modelo y en realidad te llega un modelo muy distinto al de las fotos.
