does noot cut very well
Very shallow flutes, does not remove much material. This cutter was for stainless steel.Maybe okay on mild steel. Would load up flutes too quick on soft metals aluminum, brass, etc.

Shaft not 1/4 inchBought
Bought this to use for cleanup in my router. Shaft is slightly less than 1/4 so would not fit securely in collet. Will use it in drill to avoid return process.
