I ordered these primarily because it said it would work on thick nails and the blades were curved to cut in a way that made your nails look nice. You know I have seen medical grade and professional quality all the time advertised on some products listed. Then you get the product and go what a joke as far as that claim goes. But honestly the first thing I said when I opened my package is wow this looks like something a doctor would have. I had to rethink a second and say what did I order. They are heavy stainless steel with nice rubber grips and they are very big. I have a picture of it my hand and you can clearly see what I mean. The next day I said lets see how they work. Now my toenails are thick and I use these HUGE toenail clippers to get them. But as much as I try to cut them and try to make them look nice, they end up with a square shape on top. And my pinky toe kinda grows like a an upside down U. Even those huge toenail clippers could not get them. A few times I tried so long I ended up by accident removing the whole nail. OWW ! So obviously that was the first place I went to test. Honestly the first snap was perfect. I said wow these are so awesome. I should of got these a long time ago. I did the rest of my toes and I absolutely loved how the curved my toenail on top. Now when you look at my picture you might say it does not look too curved to me but that's because last week I butchered them with my big nail clippers I had. And that's what made me so fed up I ordered these ! With these In less than a month I will have beautiful shaped nails. They are so nice and sharp too. I was able to get under the nail bed a bit and clean them as well. I was also able to clip the nail sides too. Even on my biggest nail that is very thick it was so simple with no effort ! Gosh I wish I had found these a long time ago! If you read my reviews I am some what critical on products but really this is not a 5 star item it is a 10 star ! There is everything to praise about this wonderful nail cutter: it cuts thin and thick nails well, with ease. Beware its blades are very sharp. They cut finger nails and toe nails with neither effort nor problems. Another 2 pluses: 1 - Very nicely and simply packed, its casing is also its box: you can easily slide the transparent plastic shield ( w/o having to cut anything!! No struggle, no scissors, no blade needed. And don’t throw anything away! 2 - Then lift the cutter from its « nest ». Remove the smaller molded plastic shield thàt protects the 2 blades. You’ll use that molded shield again when done trimming your nails & before you put the cleaned cutter back in its original packaging! TIP - Put nail polish on the protective plastic blade shield so you could find it easily when dropping it! You’ll also find your nail cutter easily every time you need it!

These work as advertised. They are VERY sharp and the handles and blade shape make them easy to place on the nail (particularly toenails) and clip safely. They come with a blade protector that, when replaced after cleaning protect the blades from opening and the pointed tips from being damaged. The mechanism that makes the blades spring open after each cut is solid and works every time. It also folds away to easily close the clippers and place the safety protector on the blades. Solid, sharp and comfortable to use even on the thickest toenails as well as thinner fingernails.

Great big toe clippers, not just for ingrown toenails! These clippers are sharp and very ergonomical. I bought these cos regular clippers were hard to use on my big toenails. These have a contoured blade tip for reaching corners better. If you have thick nails (and even if you don’t) you should always soak your feet and nails in warm water before attempting to trim your toenails. These clippers are easy to grip and have a metal prop between the handles to make the clippers open and close easily with each squeeze. This is much easier to use than small clippers because the size of the handles allow you to grip and squeeze easier. You’ll never want to use regular clippers on your big toes again. I still use regular clippers on my small toes but I could use these too. The quality of the steel and rubber handles feel very good for the price. I saw plenty of look alikes on here but I’m glad I paid a little more for a pair of clippers that feel sturdy. Great buy and would make a great gift!

We have purchased several other clippers from amazon that came with high ratings, but they really fell short. The last pair purchased, the "spring" broke after 2 uses. Can't fix it, so we struggled with them. The wife has a bad ingrown toenail, and these clippers are very important. I tried to get a better pair but time has slipped away. I had a few cocktails, looked through my wish list for the thing I need to get, and these were at the top. A great product. Sharp, easy to handle, not to big, and the "tootsies" are happy. For me, they are sharp, and do the right job. Heavy big toe nails fly away with fear... nice. All of the other digits are happy as well. No cuts, no blood, and leaves the paws feeling great....
