TATU 1000w LED Grow Light for Indoor Plants, Full Spectrum Plant Light

Worth it, they work well for veg. I wouldn't flower under them. Definitely not 1000w or even close to, more like 100w but I combined 3 in a 3x3 and they work well.

This is my first plant light that actually has a specific VEG setting, so this has been great education for me. When I buy another light it will be VEG only. It's so pretty looking at plants with the VEG only light on...they look all silky green iridescent. Makes me smile :) Note it's not going to LOOK all that bright on VEG setting, but that's supposedly because human eyes just aren't that sensitive to blue light.These photos are of plants grown with a 100W LED shop light. I'm ditching the shop light now that I have this TATU.I love that it is silent. That heat has to go somewhere, and they've designed it so it is self-venting. The top of the light does get hot, and there's a warning sticker on it to tell you that it gets up to 150F. But that's no problem--I'll keep my fingers away. The bottom of the light is easy to touch (not hot), and actually has a plastic shield so you're not pressing right on the circuit board.I measured how many watts this pulls from the wall.VEG: 43WBLOOM: 48W(TOGETHER: 91W)I wish this model advertised how many umol/s it puts out so I could estimate how big of an area it can cover. I guess I will trial and error. My grow area is currently 16" x 16". As with every other light I've used, this light puts out more intensity toward the middle. So I rotate the seedling trays every day to even it out among the different plants.Also would be nice to know what wavelengths its various LEDs are.

I'm on a budget and got what I could for my girls. I bought both this unit and the upgrade Beelux. Both are built well and though I've only been running one for 2 or 3 weeks there have been no issues thus far. My more developed girl went from 6inchs to this height under this light. Dunno if my meter sucks but this light gives out low lux etc numbers, but my plants haven't died and when using full power both switches she drooped, so obviously there is some power. My room is 2x6x6 mylar covered grow closet, 6 inch intake 4inch carbon output, and the two lights kick out some good heat but nothing good Ventilation can't handle. Get a good timer,cut off switch because diodes will still be energized if you turn it off from the wall during total dark time. The lights don't daisy chain together, but otherwise you get what you need to hang them in the way you need, they are solidly built. One oddity is this unit, the original?, is built out of stamped metal and a glass face yet the beelux is more plastic, plastic plate but is the upgraded unit?? Anyway over all good product for the need, I suspect would be even better for just house plants etc. If your on a budget or trying to engineer a solution, buy them, just don't expect spider or mars numbers. Will update in 90 days of on/off use.

I purchased one of these in late October. It puts out a good amount of light and the plants in the greenhouse thrived with the light running for about 11 hours per day. The light does get hot, but I have a small fan in the greenhouse so I pointed the fan to help cool the light. The light seems to work very well for plant growth.Since it seemed to work well, I bought a second light a couple of weeks ago. However, the first light failed in less than one month-the blue LEDs work, but no red and white LEDs. The surface-mount LEDs are mounted on an aluminum plate so it's very difficult to try to repair any bad solder joints. The wires running to the aluminum panel had bad solder joints but repairing them didn't fix it. The two driver boards both work fine, so the problem is with the LED board.UPDATE: The seller contacted me and offered a refund to resolve my issue. I did NOT expect that, as I knew I was violating my warranty by attempting to repair the unit. My preference was to obtain a replacement unit instead, which the seller shipped and arrived a day earlier than expected. That is GREAT customer service for a grow light that is inexpensive!

There is no internal fan on these. They get uber hot. I put a computer fan over the top of them to draw heat out and keep it cool seems to work so far . These do put out enough light. Not sure how long they will last.

Worked good for a month, need to replace it now because the housing shocks me if i touch it while its on smh
