I have this one because it runs a little bit small and I use it right below the knee around the calf. I use a different one to go around my knee because my knee is a little bit larger due to multiple surgeries and what I'm trying to recover from. so this one runs a little bit on the smaller side it's probably more designed for a woman but a small to average size man could use it very effectively as well. I've used it on my knee in the pinch but I prefer the one that's a little bit larger. **Q: Says it fits up to 21" knee circumference.
