Works great for 1980 75hp Johnson Stinger outboard motor
This replaced a faulty solenoid on my 1980 75hp Johnson Stinger outboard motor. Perfect fit and has been working fine.

Worth the money
Despite this product being incredibly cheap and made in china. It worked better than the replacement oem evinrude/johnson solenoid I ordered from a popular marine website. I installed the oem solenoid and it immediately activated the starter. The key was off. So I ordered this solenoid off of Amazon and I’m skeptical, but it seems as well built as the other replacement solenoid that failed and had a name brand to it. And this work works flawlessly so far.

Fit well using original mount bracket.

Case cracked during instal. Nut had about two threads left before being tight and the post just started to spin cracking the case. Returning it will cost more than buying it. Guess I’m stuck with a paperweight.

The first one was made in 1970 and lasted for 54 years. The replacement part you see here was made in China did not last a minute it crumbled apart on assembly. Somebody saved 50 Cent somewhere and cost me hours of my time and a young child their weekend of unfortunately no wakeboarding. Junk part for a society that buys junk. It's all made in China it's the only thing we can get now. Hope you don't want any of it to actually work. You gave them your money now they get your time.
