can a person fit in it?

I’ve actually been able to fit myself in one as I navigated the perilous Niagara Falls. An oak barrel has gotten a bit expensive but this a great alternative for riding most water falls. A side note however, take a pillow to help absorb the sudden navigation changes and the quick sudden stop at the end of the ride.

What is the actual difference between this jug and the more expensive yellow/red Igloo Jug?

This cooler has a flat top so you sit on it or you could put another smaller cooler on top and dispense from both. There is a groove to lift the lid on the orange/white model. The Yellow/Red has a handle to pull the top off and is more of a commercial type cooler.

Anyone use this for sous vide cooking? I have a Sansaire, but Anova or Nomiku should be the same. Want to cook something big!

Technically, yes. I mash grains in the cooler for brewing beer and it works very well. Method:1. get liquid up to temp2. add food3. bring back up to temp4. pour in cooler and capnotes: I have never mashed longer than 2 hours. Final mash temp is usually near 160F. Remember, sous vide is not designed for large items, it can leave foods in the danger zone 40F-140F for way too long.

If you've used this for hot beverages, like cocoa, how did it do? Did it keep warm for several hours?

We only use this for hot cocoa for our sporting events. It keeps liquid HOT for hours.

Tut genau das wofür es gedacht ist. Das Getränk kommt hervorragend aus dem Hahn und es passt wirklich reichlich rein. Beim Football für die Teamzone perfekt geeignet. Den Becherspender nutzen wir nicht da europäische Pappbecher anscheinend minimal zu groß sind und man sie nur mit Kraftanstrengung raus bekommt. Der Spender lässt sich aber auch problemlos entfernen.
