This is a time consuming project but definitely worth it! If you love the movie,"Up!,"
This is a time consuming project but definitely worth it! If you love the movie,"Up!," then you will love this "flying house." I built this for my 4yr old son because he is obsessed with this movie and LOVES Carl (Mr.Fredrickson). Legos did not have this yet and is releasing it in April, at double the cost, I'm sure! I came across this well before having knowledge of that but do not regret this purchase one bit. I wish I could share the picture of my son's excitement when he saw his completed "Up," house but Amazon will not share this review with a picture of a child included. Definitely worth your time if you are a fan of the movie, "Up." It is quite delicate and more for display purposes. Building age wise: 12+

DK blocks
The kit was fun but the blocks didn't stay connected when moving the completed Up House

Love it!
The media could not be loaded. I think this is a great set especially for anyone who doesn't want to pay Lego prices but still get an enjoyable product that you can build and display. The only thing that I found kinda difficult on it was building the roof but other than that it wasn't too complicated of a build. The directions aren't as easy to follow as a lego Box would be, but definitely manageable. I just love how it came out and I look forward to buying more brick sets like it in the future.

Really cute, easy build and good price!
The media could not be loaded. Easy to build, just a little time consuming but that’s to be expected. I had fun! :)

Comes with Up mini-figs
This set is small, but a fun build! The finished product is 16x16 Lego-sized studs. The pieces are interchangeable with Lego bricks and it's got some fun details. it comes with two mini-figs that look like Russell and the homeowner (which aren't shown in the ad), as well as a dog and a crane (bird). The instructions were easy to follow but are a bit on the smaller side. The color is also just a shade off on the instructions, but constant throughout so it's easy to see the gray-brown is actually taupe bricks. It comes with a brick remover and limited extra pieces. The bricks are bagged in four steps with the first, third and fourth steps having one bag and the second step having three bags. The box it arrived in looked more like it should hold beauty products, but once I dug into it, I was surprised to find it compared to some of the best non-Lego sets I've done. Overall, I was very pleased with this build. It could be built by any intermediate brick-builder and made for a fun build that will look neat on display in my Brick City.

Adorable, but tricky in parts
(Photos included, banana for scale)This is a cute, affordable version of what could have been a pricy build if it had been licensed and branded. The blocks are a decent quality, and for the most part snap together well. One block arrived partially melted/warped, but it still snapped in and isn't in a very noticeable spot. There were a few parts that were tricky to get right (namely the clear chains underneath). I feel like the instructions at that point were inadequate and some parts just didn't want to stay together. The rest of the instructions were okay. The booklet is a nice size. They don't gray out previously assembled blocks but they do outline the active blocks in red. Sometimes it's difficult to see what's going on. I figured it all out, except for the chain part which I just muddled through and made it work. The figures included appear to be the boy, Russell, and the bad guy, Charles Muntz, rather than Carl. It's basically just an old man wearing a bomber jacket. There's also a single-piece brown dog and a block version of Kevin, the bird.Since we got this for our family, the outer box didn't matter too much. You should know that it is a very generic box that gives no hints whatsoever as to the contents. A gift recipient would have no idea what was inside until they opened it and pulled out the illustrated instruction book underneath the blocks.Despite my difficulties in assembling parts of this build, it's super cute and my kids love it. They especially like the balloons and were immediately able to identify the house as belonging to the Up movie.
