Great smooth sharp cut. The overall construction feels solid but when opened the blades feel light and cheap though it does perform extremely well i have no complaints

Excellent product

The best straight cutter on the market in my opinion. The blades are extremely sharp, you get a perfect straight cut every time. Yes it's expensive, but in my opinion worth it. Xikar also offers a lifetime warranty, which is nice peace of mind for an expensive product. I love that both blades move together when you close it, which helps get a great cut. On a traditional guillotine, the pressure you put on each blade usually varies, so the cut has more of a chance to be off. These blades are connected by the gears, so they will meet right in the middle of your cigar. A little bit bulky, but once doesn't bother me.
